I’m 26 years old and I am
currently studying level 3
in childcare.
Working in childcare has
been my dream career for as
long as I can remember, and
now I work in a wonderful
private nursery in South
Woodford, where I have been for one year.
My manager put me in touch with Redbridge
Institute after hearing some very promising
information about the college.
Course enquiries 020 8550 2398 Since starting the childcare course I have met
some lovely students and we have created a great
support network. My tutors are amazing and
provide you with detailed relevant information as
well as having a joke in between, after all learning
should be fun!
I am really enjoying my course so far, with the
relaxed atmosphere I feel I gain a lot more from
my time here!

Arts, crafts, music and photography
We offer a variety of courses in art, crafts,
dance, music and photography. Many of these
are held in our excellent specialist rooms,
which include fully equipped jewellery, craft
and pottery studios.
Look out for the extra one day, weekend and
short courses offered throughout the year.
There may be additional costs for the use of
materials on some arts and craft courses.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced
learner, you’ll be able to extend your technical
skills and build confidence in your creative ability.
You will be taught by friendly, experienced and
talented tutors.
Learners who have attended our courses have
acquired the skills and confidence to progress
further and some now run small businesses to sell
and exhibit their work.

Apprenticeships
Would you like a career working with children
under eight?
There may be an opportunity to ‘earn while
you learn’ with a Childcare and early years
apprenticeship.
We have a range of courses from beginners in
the field, progressing to professional status at
Level 3.
Work placement
A placement is not necessary on entry level
courses but is extremely useful. Applicants for
childcare courses at Level 2 and above must
be in a suitable work role or placement and we
will need a letter from your school or setting
to confirm this before you can be accepted on
the course.
