Freedom Rules: The 10 Commandments Enter His Rest! - Exodus 20:8-11 (p. 61) #FreedomRules With Freedom Rule #4 God invites His people to enter His Sabbath, His Rest. Israel marked it with a total work stoppage on the 7th day of the week. But what does it mean for us today? Perspectives vary, but God’s ultimate goal for His Sabbath is clear. We enter God’s rest when we trust in the finished work of Christ and pursue life in Christ, including showing grace even when we disagree about how to “Keep the Sabbath.” Enter His Rest! When you do, Freedom Rules! Believers in Christ are responsible to give regularly, proportionately and sacrificially to the Lord’s work, with priority placed on the local church where a believer worships and serves. We invite all to give; we do not solicit individuals. Our focus is the Lord’s focus—on the attitude of the heart, not on the amount of the gift.
