Black Swamp OHV Area (New Bern, NC) (252-634-6400) This trail offers eight off-highway-vehicle trail miles for riders. The trail is designated for all-terrain vehicles, trail bikes and four-wheel drives with a wheel base less than 50 inches. . Permit Required? Yes Other Vehicles? Passes must be obtained in advance by contacting the Croatan District Office. Brown Mountain OHV Trails (Collettsville, NC) (828-257-4200) Ride the Trail. The Brown Mountain OHV (off-highway vehicle) area, the only OHV area in the Pisgah National Forest, offers 34 miles of designated trails. Signs are located at the head of each trail section. Brushy Mountain Motor Sports Park (Combo) (Taylorsville, NC) (828-635-7766) If you have the skills then we have the thrills. If you like to ride twisting, turning, climbing, descending, & challenging trails that seem to go on forever then Brushy Mountain is the place for you. You can take the long trail number one and ride for 25.5 miles straight through or you can take one of many return trails and head back early to the parking lot. . Permit Required? Over 40 miles of single track are planned for Brushy Mountain and we are adding to it all the time Busco Beach ATV Park & Campground (Combo) (Goldsboro, NC) (919-222-9614) This ATV Park is situated near a lake that has a nice sandy beach along the outer perimeter. Deep-water crossings (snorkel recommended), mud and sand pits, hill climbs, a motocross track plus a beginner’s track and some deep woods trails are among the many things to like about this park. . Cape Fear ATV and MX Park (Combo) (Elizabethtown, NC) (910-862-5100) Overlooking the Cape Fear River, this 428 acre family friendly park offers a natural terrain motocross track along with mud and sand pits plus about 30 miles of woods trails. . Park updates are posted on Call before you haul Durhamtown Tellico (Murphy, NC) (828-837-2255) Durhamtown Tellico is an off-road family wilderness experience nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest for jeeps, buggies, rock crawlers, side by sides, ATVs and dirt bikes. Durhamtown Tellico's property adjoins the original Tellico ORV facility and shares much of the same type of terrain, scenery and rock-crawling challenges. Durhamtown Tellico is a well-managed facility with a focus on sustainability and protecting our trout streams. . Permit Required? Climate Type Miles Long Dates Open Entry Fee? Features of the 3000 acre property include miles of trails, rock crawling areas, panoramic views, waterfalls, stocked trout streams and ponds, campsites and primitive cabins Lake Houser ATV Park (Mooresboro, NC) (704-472-6280) Open daily year-round, this 600 acre off-road park offers miles of woods trails, hill climbs and several mud bogs. The park borders the Broad River and also has several creeks running though the property. The terrain ranges from hard pack, chunky rock sections and sandy trails. . Permit Required? NC Outdoor Adventures (Zebulon, NC) (919-269-0299) This area is open daily from 7am to 9pm to ATVs, dirt bikes and go-karts and offers about 5 miles of woods trails that sprawl over 400 scenic acres. The property was designed for the family and youth rider in mind, so most trails are fairly tame with some sections going through open fields. North Carolina Motorsports Park (Zebulon, NC) (919-269-0299) Open daily from 10am to 5pm, this motorsports park has five motocross tracks and about nine miles of marked one-way only woods trails to choose from. Camping is allowed but dogs are not permitted on the property. Amenities include a concession stand (open during race events), clean vault toilets and picnic areas. Permit Required? Play Dirt MX and BMX Facility (Combo) (Cameron, NC) (919-964-0007) This motocross park offers a track that is 3/4 of a mile long and 3.25 miles of tight and narrow ATV trails. Both track and trails are built into and through the woods. There are plans to expand and add more trails, a separate peewee track, BMX track and mountain bike trails. Permit Required? Rockcrusher Farm (Combo) (Hayesville, NC) (706-897-0597) Located on the North Carolina and Georgia border, this 500 acre off-road park offers miles of marked and directional woods trails plus three motocross tracks for all skill levels. Uwharrie OHV Trail System (Uwharrie, NC) (910-576-6391) This popular area offers about 20 miles of challenging trails that consist of steep, rocky and muddy sections, several stream crossings and loose gravel. Motorcycles Art Lilley Campground offers free primitive camping and direct trail access, a vault toilet plus an unloading ramp but there is no running water so come prepared. There are several full service campgrounds nearby including Arrowhead Campground and Badin Lake Campground but they do not offer direct OHV trail access so non-street legal machines need to be hauled to and from the staging areas. Wayehutta ATV System (Cullowhee, NC) (828-293-7032) Located on the North Carolina and Georgia border, this 500 acre off-road park offers miles of marked and directional woods trails plus three motocross tracks for all skill levels. Both tent sites and RV hookups are available plus several picnic areas with tables. Permit Required? No Other Vehicles? Climate Type Miles Long Dates Open Entry Fee? Motorcycles Rockcrusher Farm, situated on 500 acres, features a 1 mile long motocross track with jumps ranging from easy to experienced. All trails are now directional only and clearly marked. Restrooms have been located near the MX track with more planned. Zoo City MX (Combo) (Asheboro, NC) (336-964-6699) This this motocross park features a long 1.25 mile main track and a separate peewee track for the little guys. The track is 25 feet wide and features the standard obstacles including doubles, tables, rockers, step up and step downs, along with an extra-large 85 foot triple and a few natural hills and sweepers.
