Sierra H Broadcasting and The BEAT 101.1FM are locally owned and operated by our partners U.S. Air Force Veteran Jay Brentlinger and Air National Guard Veteran Steve Szalay. Mr. Brentlinger and Mr. Szalay, both Captains, met while flying F 104 fighter jets at Luke Air force Base in Phoenix, Arizona in the mid 1950’s. Between the two of them, they successfully flew missions in Korea, Germany and throughout Europe. Our company name, Sierra H Broadcasting is a tribute to the bond our partners have and commitment they made to serve our country. “Sierra H” is aviator slang for “SH*T HOT”. This is military pilot’s favorite all-purpose expression of approval, a term of excitement, joy and high praise. Sierra H Broadcasting salutes all Veterans past and present and continually thanks them for their service in protecting us!! • Median Age 31 Black • 53% are Hispanic 7% • 44% earn $25,000 to $75,000 per year Other 40% Hispanic • 35% have children living at home 53% • More than 55% work full-time • 58% Male and 42% Female listeners • 41% have some college or more education Female 42% • 73% are 18-44 Male 58% 28.0% 23.3% 21.9% 11.9% P 12-17 9.0% P 18-24 P 25-34 P 35-44 P 45-54 Source: Arbitron June12/July12/Aug12 M-Su 6a-12m • Ethnic Breakdown • Education • Black 7% • High School Grad 28% • Hispanic 53% • Some College 29% • Other 40% • College Grad 12% • 66% of Hispanic Listeners are English Dominant • Employment • Full Time 54% • Part Time 14% • Household Income • Less than $25K 24% • $25k-$50K 22% • Household Size • 2 or Less 21% • 3 or More 58% • Target Composition • Male 58% • Female 42% • Listening Location • $50k-$75K 21% • Home 53% • More than $75K 16% • Away from Home 83% Source: Arbitron June12/July12/Aug12 M-Su 6a-12m KNRJ listeners spend over $2 BILLION annually in Metro area retail stores $366 Million at Food & Beverage Stores $248 Million at Restaurants & Bars $111 Million on Clothes and Accessories $133 Million on Electronics and Appliances $231 Million at Gas Stations $370 Million at New & Used Auto Dealers $46 Million on Sports, Hobbies & Music $300 Million at Valley Hospitals $53 Million on Wireless Communication $341 Million at Grocery Stores $101 Million on Gambling & Casinos $126 Million with Lawyers Source: Arbitron June12/July12/Aug12 M-Su 6a-12m •Monday – Friday 6a-10a • Hospe •Monday – Friday 10a-3p • “Lady” Stephanie •Monday – Friday 3p-7p •Ramses Ja •Monday – Friday 7p-12m • B Rose The Phoenix New Times has voted The BEAT as the BEST Hip-Hop Radio Station for 2011 Phoenix New Times Best Hip-Hop Radio Station - 2010 The Beat 92.7 FM and 99.3 FM //www.azthebeat.com Urban oldies? It seemed like sort of a weird idea when The Beat — a quadrocast station made up of KNRJ 101.1 FM, K224CJ 92.7 FM, K257CD 99.3 FM, and K228XO 93.5 FM — started bumping old-school R&B and hiphop in late 2008. Then an L.A. station picked up the format, making the Phoenix-bred format less of a novelty. There are a few solid stations for hiphop in town, but we really like the unique playlist on The Beat, built around hits from the golden age of rap and featuring such artists as Pac, Biggie, Dre, and Snoop. And, sure, we like a little Warren Hill, some Fresh Prince, and a little R. Kelly in there, too. The Beat is good-time music and always manages to make us smile as we flip by for a few seconds on a long commute. • 2 Pac • LL Cool J • Snoop Dogg • Jay Z • Puff Daddy • Outkast • Digital Underground • Coolio • Dr. Dre • Ludacris • 50 Cent • Drake • Lil Wayne • Notorious BIG • Ice Cube • Warren G • Nelly • Beastie Boys The BEAT’s Digital Platform provides the best in digital marketing opportunities Social Media Twitter Instagram YouTube Facebook QR Codes Email Blasts Streaming Leaderboard 728x90 Right Column 300x250 Wallpaper Wraps Pre-Roll Video Weather Sponsorships Traffic Sponsorships Tile Ads 125x125 Video Player Ads Interactive Contesting • azthebeat.com website sponsorship opportunities • Studio Sponsorship • Street Team Sponsorship • Remotes & Van Stops • Traffic Center Sponsorship • Events, Concerts & Trade Shows DETAILS AND IMAGES HERE • The Beat promotional material including co-branded merchandise • Testimonials & Endorsements by The Beat on-air talent • On-air feature sponsorships • Traffic sponsorships The New KNRJ 101.1 FM Signal Is Stronger Than Ever.
