Santa’s Workshop Retail Outlet
The Airdrie Festival of Lights is looking for a private
business and/or individual to take over the operations
of Santa’s Workshop.
The Workshop operates as a retail outlet for
Christmas related items for the entire duration of the
festival. The operator will be responsible to run the
Workshop as an independent retail operation and
handle the following:
Inventory control and management
Accounting/Cash Control/Insurance
Maintenance and upkeep of the store
Staffing
The Workshop must follow the hours of the Festival.
No exceptions. Dec 1-31, 2007. This is a three year
contract. The operator of the Workshop will be the
recipient of 100% of the profits and is responsible for
the removal and storage of remaining inventory no
later than January 5th 2007. The Festival will provide
24 hour security, electrical hook ups and
transportation of the building to and from the site and
promotional advertising. Existing inventory and an
annual site fee is to be purchased as part of the
contract and must be paid in full prior to Dec 1, 2007.
A more detailed contract will be available to the applicants who demonstrate a desire to participate in this

The AFOL is considering proposals from vendors to
operate food service outlets for the 2007 Festival.
Successful applicants with valid City of Airdrie
permits and health inspections will be required to pay
a site fee and provide their services for the entire
duration of the Festival – no exceptions. The Festival
operates Dec 1- 31, 2007 from 6pm – 9 pm. A
complete contract with fees and terms is available to
those interested. Vendors are responsible for all set
up, electrical and utility hook ups, maintenance,
inventory and staffing. Please submit your inquiries
