PENDIDIKAN
Pemerintah Republik Indonesia
dan
Pemerintah Republik Rakyat Bangladesh
Didorong oleh keinginan bersama untuk mengadakan dan mengembangkan
hubungan kebudayaan yang lebih akrab lagi dimasa mendatang serta
untuk lebih menumbuhkan saling pengertian antara kedua negara, guna pengenalan lebih baik mengenai tata hidup dan hasil-hasil yang
dicapai rakyat kedua negara.
Telah bersepakat membuat persetujuan sebagai berikut
Pasal
I
Pemerintah Republik Indonesia dan Pemerintah Republik Rakyat
Bangladesh (yang untuk selanjutnya disebut sebagai pihak-pihak
pada Persetujuan) akan berusaha mengembangkan hubungan kebudayaan
dan ilmu pengetahuan berdasarkan saling menghormati prinsip-prinsip kedaulatan,kesamaan, tidak mencampuri urusan dalam negeri pihak lain dan sesuai dengan hukum serta peraturan yang berlaku di
kedua negara.

Masing-masing Pihak akan berusaha untuk menumbuhkan dan menggalakkan kerjasama dibidang pendidikan, melalui pertukaran
guru
besar-guru besar, guru-guru, ahli-ahli lain dan mahasiswa dengan
ceramah-ceramah serta latihan-latihan dan studi tingkat purna sarjana yang telah ditentukan bersama sebelumnya.
Pasal
III
Masing-masing Pihak akan berusaha untuk me numbuhkan dan menggalakkan kerjasama dibidang ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi melalui
pertukaran ilmuwan,ahli-ahli teknik yang bekerja pada lembaga-lembaga ilmiah teknik dan pendidikan tinggi serta melalui
pertukaran
penerbitan-penerbitan ilmiah maupun teknik untuk manfaat bersama.
Pasal
IV
Tiap Pihak dengan berdasarkan keinginan untuk saling memahami
tata hidup, kebudayaan dan adat istiadat rakyat Pihak lainnya, akan

berusaha menggalakkan serta memberikan bantuan-bantuan
seperlunya
kepada warganegara kedua negara bagi perkembangan kepariwisataan.

Pasal
V
Tiap Pi hak berusaha rnendorong pelajaran bahasa dan sastra dari
pihak lainnya melalui pertukaran guru-guru, ahli-ahli serta mengatur
kursus-kursus, ceramah dan naskah literatur dan bahan-bahan lain.
Pasal
VI
Tiap Pihak sedapat mungkin berusaha menjamin bahwa buku
wajib
untuk lernbaga-lernbaga pendidikan dari negaranya tidak rnemuat hal-hal
yang tidak benar mengenai negara pihak lain.
Pasal VII
Ke dua belah Pihak sedapat mungkin berusaha menggalakkan pertandingan-pertandingan olah-raga dan hubungan lain antara Rakyat
kedua
negara serta kerjasama kepemudaan, melalui Pemerintah rnasing-rnasing.

Pasal VIII
Masing-masing Pihak akan berusaha bahwa Persetujuan ini akan dilaksanakan berdasarkan rencana yang akan disetujui bersama antara ke
dua Pihak, di bidang kerjasama pendidikan dan kebudayaan.
Pasal
IX
Apabila tirnbul perselisihan antara kedua belah Pihak sebagai akibat adanya perbedaan penafsiran atau pelaksanaan perjanjian ini, akan
diselesaikan secara damai rnelalui musyawarah atau perundingan.
Pasal
X
Tiap penarnbahan atau perubahan pada Persetujuan ini dapat dibuat
setelah disetujui bersama secara tertulis.
Pasal
XI
Tiap Pihak akan mernberitahukan Pihak lain mengenai telah dipenuhinya prosedur yang diperlukan oleh peraturan perundang-undangan negaranya untuk berlakunya Persetujuan ini. Persetujuan ini akan berlaku pada tanggal pernberitahuan yang terakhir dari pernberitahuan tersebut diatas. Persetujuan ini dapat diakhiri setiap waktu oleh salah satu Pihak
dengan mernberitahukan secara tertulis kepada Pihak lain rnaksud untuk
melakukan hal itu enam bulan sebelumnya.
Sebagai bukti yang bertanda tangan dibawah ini, yang telah diberi
kuasa secara sah oleh Pemerintah rnasing-masing, telah menanda tangani
Pe rsetujuan ini.

OF THE REBUBLIC OF INDONESIA ~ND THE GOVER\TMENT
OF 'J'H~ PEOPLE'~ REPUBLIC OF Bl\N'.}Li\.DSSH ON '~DUCATIONAL
AND CULTURAL COOPERATION
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia
and
The Government of the People's Republic of
Ban~ladesh
:
Inspired by common desire to foster friendly relations
to estab lish close cultural co-operation ;
Desirous of
promotin~
and develoning cultural relations
and understanding between the Republic of Indonesia and
the People's Republic of Bangladesh for greater acquaintance
and consciousness with life and achievements of the Pe oT"les
of both countries have agreed to the following provisions :
ARTICLE
l
The Government of the
~epublic
of Indonesia and the
Government of the People 's qepublic of 3angladesh (herein
after referred to as the
Contr~cting
Parties) shall undertake
to develoy their cultural and scientific ties on the basis
of mutual respect for the
principl~s
of sovereignty, equali ty,
non-interference in the internal affairs of each other and
in accordance with the laws and regulations of both countriese

facilitate co-operation in t he fi e ld of education through
the exchang e of professors, teachers, other specialists and
students by arranging

, trainin g and study at
post-graduate level as mutually decided upon.
ARTICLE
111
The Contracting Parties shall undertake to promote
and facilitate co-o peration in the sphere of science and
technology by the exchange of scientists, professionals
and engineers working in scientific, technical and higher
establishment and by the exchange of scientific and technical publications of mutual interest.
ARTICLE
IV
Each Contracting Party shall, with a view bo fostering
acquaintance and consciousness with life, culture a nd
traditions of the people of the country of the other
Contracting Party endeavour to promote tourism and for
that pu rpose undertake to encourage and render all possible
assistance to nationals of both countries visiting each
other's countryo
ARTICLE
V
Each Contracting Party shall endeavour to encourage
within the scope of its responsibilities the study of the
lang uage and literature of the country of the other
Party throu gh the exchange of teachers and

studies and by mutual exchange of literature and other
aids.
l\RTICLE
VI
Each ContractinQ Pa rty shall, as far as possible
ensure that text books prescribed for educational institutions
of its country do not contain any errors or misrepresentations
about th e country of the other Contracting Party.
ARTIVL~
VII
The Contracting Partjes shall, as far as possible,
encourage sports competit ons and other contacts between
nationals of both countries and cooperation between their
youth organisations throu g h respective Governments •
.l\RTICLE
VIII
The Contracting Parties shall undertake that the
present Agreement shall be carried out on the basis of the
plan to b e agreed up on between the 0-ontracting Parties
in the fields of education and cultural co-operation.

IX
dispute batween the Contracting Parties, arising
out of the interpretation or imple mentation of this
~ ~reement
shall be settled peacefully by consultation or negotiation.

Any addition or modification to this

be made by mutual consent in writing by the Contracting
Parties.
ARTICLE
XI
Each Contracting Party shall notify the other the
completion of the procedure required by its law for bringing into force of this Agreement . The Agreement shall come
into force on the date of the notification by the later
Contracting Party. This
Agreement may be terminated at any
time by either party in writing giving the other six months
prior notice of its intention to do s::> .
