Food Service Help Wanted Caledonia Food Service is looking for help beginning 2015-2016 school year. Qualifications are as follows: experience in food and customer service, ability to work in a fast pace environment, able to lift up to 35lbs, positive attitude, good time management, and a team player. If you are interested in joining our team please apply in person at our Food Service Districts Office located in Duncan Lake Middle School between the hours of 9am & 1pm. Questions, please call 616-891-0227. * Blue and Gold Show Highlights Youth CALEDONIA FFA CHAPTER CALEDONIA, MICHIGAN The Caledonia FFA Chapter hosted the 9th annual Blue and Gold Show at the Barry County Fairgrounds on May 23 and 24. Students, parents, 4-H volunteers and FFA alumni were involved in the planning, promotion and implementation of the show. Volunteers assisted with operating the show along with FFA members from the Caledonia chapter. Over 250 exhibitors from 23 Michigan counties in the Lower and Upper Peninsula, Indiana and Ohio showed 192 sheep, 45 market goats and 228 market hogs. The Michigan Club Lamb Association, Michigan Swine Youth Challenge and Michigan Boer Goat Association sanctioned the show as one of its qualifying shows. Gene Winn served as judge of the lamb show. Cheyenne Bowman of Indiana showed the grand champion lamb. The champion goat was shown by Blain Pish of Branch County. The champion hog was shown by Payton Hines of Branch County. The Caledonia FFA also garnered sponsorship from 24 producers and livestock supply companies. The champion lamb at the Caledonia FFA Blue and Gold Show was shown by Cheyenne Bowman. The champion hog was shown by Payton Hines of Branch County. The champion goat was shown by Blain Pish (L) and the reserve champion was shown by Katie Walters (R) both of Branch County. Compass College is offering a Film Camp and an Acting camp this summer for ages 13-18! The camps will be held Monday-Friday, June 22-26, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Film students will write, shoot and edit short films under the guidance of professional filmmakers. Acting students will learn on-camera techniques for film and television from an accomplished SAG actor and then join up with the Film Camp to star in the films.
