A Message from the Padre
Parable of the Talents
O
ur Gospel this weekend tells us that as servants of God, we are all
given different talents according to the call of our ministry. Some of us may
have more responsibility than others and some may have less, but our reward
is not based on the number of responsibilities. Our reward is based on the outcome we produced from the duty given to us.
However, what little we may have in terms of skills or resources, we
should not hide or be ashamed of it, as God recognizes our strength, talents and wisdom. He wants us to put them to
good use. Let us remember that when we give our gifts and strength for our church - we do it because we are motivated
by our faith. When we use our talents and ability by adopting a friendly environment - we do it to praise and thank God
through his creation. When we use our wisdom to solve a conflict at home or at work - we do it because we are inspired
by the living word of the Gospel. Yes, we rejoice with the strength, talents and wisdom that God has given us – and
there’s nothing wrong with that.
S
o, if ever we feel that we are taking on more responsibilities than the next guy, we should not complain,
but instead, we should rejoice. As the Gospel has said “For everyone who has… will be given more, and he will have
an abundance.”
Fr Joe

“We make a living by what we earn.
We make a life by what we share.”
Thank you for your generous
support of our parish
Lord God, Almighty Father, creator of
mankind and author of peace, as we are
ever mindful of the cost paid for the liberty
we possess, we ask you to bless the members of our armed forces. Give them courage, hope and strength. May they ever experience your firm support, gentle love and compassionate healing. Be their power and protector, leading them from darkness
to light. To you be all glory, honor and praise, now and forever.
Amen
Please pray for the men and women now serving in the military, especially the loved ones of our parishioners:

PRAYERS FOR OUR MILITARY FAMILY
The safety and success of our military serving at home and abroad
defending our country should be prayed for daily. All should be recognized for their outstanding commitment to risk their lives so we can
remain free. Members of our parish family are requested to provide the
names of their loved ones so they can be remembered in our prayers.
To include their names in our prayer list please contact Carol Nasife
by email at carol@olqponline.org or by calling 609-267-0230 ext. 16.

Prayer for the Grieving
Gracious God, please comfort the sorrowful. When a loved
one dies, it changes our lives so quickly. Help those who are
living in grief to know your loving embrace. Teach them that
the dear ones they miss are truly living in the joy and peace of
your heavenly kingdom. And as the pain eases and the healing
begins, give them the strength to reach out to help those who
follow them. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen

Is God Calling You?
Vocational discernment groups meet to assist young men who
are discerning the possibility that God may be calling them to a
life of priestly ministry. These groups are designed to explore a
priestly vocation with other like-minded men through prayer and
sharing vocation stories and experiences. The group meetings
aren't meant to convince anyone that the priesthood is their vocation. They are designed to assist you in discovering if the
priesthood is your true vocation and build your relationship with
Christ along the way.
If you are a faithful, single, Roman Catholic man, between the
ages of 18 and 40, and are asking yourself whether God is calling you to be a priest, you are cordially invited to attend this
month’s discernment meeting on November 23 rd, from 4:00 pm
to 6:00 pm at Saint Charles Borromeo Parish, 2226 Riverton
Road, Cinnaminson, New Jersey. Join Very Rev. Peter James
Alindogan and Rev. Chris Picollo, as they share their experiences of the priesthood, followed by prayer and conclude with
conversation and a meal.
Please register with Diocese of Trenton Vocation Office at vocations@dioceseoftrenton.org or by calling (609) 406-7449. Join
us at this exciting time as you discover and respond to His invitation!
