A Stunning Equestrian
Detached
Family Home
Heys Lane Farm,
Hyndburn Road
Great Harwood | BB6 7UE
Vendor Comments
Heys Lane Farm is the perfect property for any family
with equestrian interests, although it could offer excellent
facilities for a thriving equestrian business. We only
currently use 6 of our stables, but it has the potential for
14 stables or more. The ménage was professionally built
only a year ago to the highest standards, under the
supervision, and with choice of surface, of my daughter
who is an equestrian vet. It has the best recommended
drainage, and supporting paperwork. The ménage is a
wonderful size, and more than adequate to gallop
around on my 18 hh shire. We have enjoyed a great deal
of rural hacking and off road riding in all directions from
the farm.
The American barn is invaluable to our lifestyle, it has
meant we can provide most of the horses care without
ever having to go outside if the weather is not so good,
and provides a secure and warm home for the horses,
with roller shutter door, heated stables, automatic water
feeders, a shower room, storage for bedding, haylage,
tack, rugs etc. There is mains water and electricity for
lighting and sockets.
Seeing the horses grazing from the house windows and
garden areas has been one of our greatest pleasures.
Being set in its own grounds, we enjoy privacy,
tranquility and security. Three separate fields, all closely
accessed and within sight of the house, has provided our
horses with all year turn out. The field we use for winter
turn out slopes down to the river, and we enjoy amazing
views in all directions. Although the property enjoys
seclusion, the town centre and supermarkets are within
walking distance, giving the best of both worlds.
There is plenty of space for parking, including
horseboxes, and access for articulated vehicles. The
house affords us the smallest of bills, with septic tank,
and multi fuel fires in the living areas that heat the entire
house. This has been the perfect home for us, and
although for happy reasons, we will be very sad to leave.
