Utilizing the unique characteristics of each platform, and driven by our research, the Saskatoon StarPhoenix is customizing the storytelling experience for audiences by platform. Product Development Postmedia has created differentiated, distinctive and dynamic products to connect with more audiences, in more meaningful ways, more times throughout the day. Leveraging experts in user-experience and design, Postmedia reimagined the new Saskatoon StarPhoenix with elegant and engaging print, web, smartphone and tablet products. 3 A BOLD TRANSFORMATION With a bold transformation and a complete reimagining of newsmedia, the Saskatoon StarPhoenix has changed how it creates and delivers content to audiences. This new approach focuses primarily on local news and platform-driven storytelling to bring the right audiences at the right time to our advertisers. The Saskatoon StarPhoenix’s content reaches 178,000 weekly print and digital readers*. For over 110 years the Saskatoon StarPhoenix has been Saskatoon’s choice for news and information, keeping readers informed with in-depth analysis and context. Conceptual Redesign The redesigned Saskatoon StarPhoenix masthead combines the classic newspaper nameplate with an abstract representation of Saskatoon’s most distinguishing feature, a bend in the South Saskatchewan river. The river is the heart of the city and the new logo embraces its prominence in the community.
