“Happy Feast Day!”
From the Pastor’s Hand
Greetings in the Risen Lord! In the Gospel this Sunday, Jesus tells a
story (parable) about a Master who is so thankful for the vigilance of
those caring for his home, that the table literally gets turned; he has
the servants recline at table and he himself actually begins to wait on
them. Such deeply felt “thanksgiving” can indeed cause us to completely shift the way we interact with those in the world around us.
No wonder “thanksgiving” (“Eucharist” in Greek) is at the heart of
our prayer as Christians; our Master, Jesus, serves/saves us by His
suffering and death on the altar of the cross; we keep His command
to remember this act of love by celebrating the Eucharistic meal that

God gives you 8,760 hours a year.
Won’t you give him back 34?
That’s right, a Christ Renews His Parish weekend is just 34 hours—8am

around the world.
What can you expect? In addition to
great conversation, meals, stories
and réfléctivé timé, participants
have an opportunity to celebrate the
Sacrament of Reconciliation and the
Eucharist.
