Dear fellow Bousteadians, We started 2015 on a good note as we announced positive results for the 2014 financial year. Our Divisions continued to deliver sustained earnings for FY2014, which saw the Group recording a profit before tax of RM686 million on the back of a revenue of RM10.6 billion. The Property Division was a key driver of growth in 2014, followed by Finance & Investment and Pharmaceutical, while the other Divisions also performed within expectations. With this positive start, the outlook is promising for 2015 as we continue to pursue our growth plans. Of course, we will be faced with external pressures and a challenging domestic market particularly for our consumer related brands and products. It is during times like this that we must be all the more conscious of the need to work harder and be resilient. Bousteadians, as we have in the past, must find new ways to improve our individual contributions to the Group. It is imperative that we demonstrate tangible results that will influence profitability positively. Every one of you can play an important role in helping the Group to become a stronger conglomerate. The Group has always had a strong drive to enhance our business prospects both organically and inorganically. In line with this, we announced the proposed acquisition of 50% equity in Irat Properties Sdn. Bhd., which is set to add to our diverse portfolio of property investments. The acquisition also marks our entry into the road safety sector. We trust that this will allow us to develop our streams of businesses further and build synergistic opportunities. One of the Group’s key strategies for growth over the years has been to turn around ailing businesses in order to develop them into successful ventures. We have a strong track record of accomplishing this in various sectors, and we are confident that we will be able to do the same with this new business of automated enforcement systems to improve road safety. This will be another amazing opportunity for the Group to grow and for us to expand our skillset. Thank you. Terima kasih.
