SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
QUESTION OF THE WEEK
The 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time, June 30
Reading I: 1 Kings 19: 16b, 19 - 21
Elijah announces God’s call to Elisha.
Reading II: Galatians 5: 1, 13 - 18
Brothers & sisters, you are called to freedom.
Gospel:
Luke 9: 51 - 62
I will follow you wherever you will go.
Adults: Sometimes we are like the people in the
Gospel and have many excuses for why we can’t
follow Jesus. Name a time this past week that you
followed Jesus even though you had many excuses.
Youth: What makes it hard to be a disciple of Jesus?
Why do you make the choice to follow Jesus even
when it is hard?
Children: To follow Jesus means to do what is right.
This past week, have you followed Jesus by doing
the right thing you were asked to do?
