None other than Normand Couture, remarkable volunteer and resident of the borough’s Dubreuil sector. We can’t speak highly enough of him, even if he doesn’t want to hear it… The borough wishes to highlight the involvement of this great volunteer – on behalf of the whole community and the many organizations who have benefited from his grand generosity and the support he has lent to causes which he has made it his job to defend. It’s quite an understatement to say that Normand is very involved. He is helpful, responsible, a man of integrity who is devoted and demanding of himself and satisfied with nothing less than a job well done. A father of four and grandfather of two, he is valued by all those around him; when describing him, his wife Diane says she feels like she won the lottery. But Normand is not content just to share all these attributes with his family and co-workers; the whole community has benefited from his efforts, including: • The Ligue de fer du parc du Debonair • Les Chevaliers de Colomb – Conseil 9086 • Le Syndicat des cols bleus • The Journée de la famille de l’arrondissement de Fleurimont • The Carnaval de l’arrondissement de Fleurimont • The Festival des traditions du monde • The Clinique de sang • L’Assomptival • Some electoral campaigns Retirement? No time even to think about it. In addition to his volunteer activities this nature lover enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, biking, rollerblading and skating. On behalf of the entire community THANK YOU Normand, for this legacy you leave to all those who know you. We hope that you will remain involved with our organizations – you are a true pillar of the community. Your mere presence in these groups gives them reassurance as well as bringing success and prosperity. BRAVO! Normand has been a City of Sherbrooke employee since 1976. This team manager at the signage and snow removal branch of the Division de la voirie et des parcs never hesitates to lend a hand to members of his team. 77 Info Sherbrookois Winter 2005-2006 FLEURIMONT Community Life FLEURIMONT Community Life AN INVITATION FROM COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS Organization Date and place CERCLE DES FERMIÈRES DE MARGUERITE D’YOUVILLE April 21, 2006, 7 to 9 p.m. April 22, 2006, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jeannine Côté: 564-2452 Alexandre-Letendre hall at the SainteFamille Church FEMMES DE CHEZ NOUS April 21, 2006, 7:30 9 p.m. April 22, 2006, 1 to 6 p.m. April 23, 2006, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thérèse Cyr: 569-1905 Raymonde Jacques: 346-2250 CLUB PLEIN-AIR ÂGE D’OR QUATRE-SAISONS Annual craft show All welcome!
