the trail at your right hand side. Hike the trail up to the waterfall.
It’s a hike straight up. On the top you will have a beautiful view
up the Flåm valley and back to the fjord. Take some food with
you and eat your lunch! And remember to bring your camera.
We recommend to wear proper footwear. It can be a bit slippery

For the little ones
A trip on the famous Flåm Railway is an adventure on itself.
It is a perfect start for a beautiful and famous walk or bicycle
trip into the Flåm valley. Take a left from our camping and buy
a ticket (when it is busy, the day before on forehand!!) for the
famous train ride. The train leaves approx every hour.
Take a regular or commercial ferry, which will take you from
the quay from Flåm into the most beautiful and narrowest fjord
in the world, The Nærøyfjord. Its exceptional natural beauty is
derived from its narrow and steep –sided crystalline rock walls
that rise up to 1400 m.a.s.l. from the fjord. Take a stop in
Undredal and explore the idyllic village. Visit the small white
stave church, taste the traditional goat cheese. The regular ferry
runs several times a day.
5 min walk from the campground there is a nice beach and
green area. A place to relax, take a swim and just play with the
children. A small pond and a stream gives a perfect environment
for children to explore the natural surroundings.
Take the train all the way up to Myrdal. On your journey up the
train stops at Kjosfossen waterfall. You are invited to go off the
train for 5 min, take your photos, and if you are lucky you`ll see
“Huldra”.
At Myrdal you can stick around at the platform, have a cup
of coffee at the café Rallaren and return with the next train.
Make sure you take a seat at the left side of the train when you
are traveling downwards…Lovely views on that side.

Or you may like to join a Fjord Safari and experience the fjord at
close range. They give you a guided adventure in to the wonders
of the fjords. The Fjord Safari is located at the harbor in Flåm.
Otternes farm
If you like to combine the train with a nice hike, you walk from
Myrdal to Vatnahalsen hotel, and continue along Reinungavatnet
on the navvie`s road. Same route back.
Daily life anno 1700
When you are back in Flåm visit the Flåm railway museum and
learn more about the history of the Flåm railway. Free entrance.
Rent a bike and go along the Aurland fjord for 4 km. Where the
walking and biking trail ends, a sign will show you the road up
to the farm. Stunning view overlooking the Aurlandsfjord. When
