COMMANDER'S
MESSAGE
To all Vietnam Vets please see the list if illnesses' that
are presumptive to Agent Orange. The list is on the
bulletin board.
For some reason our pizza night has really dropped in
attendance.
The hours for purchasing a pizza are
4:30 to 6:30. The hours in the summer are 4:30 to
6:00 due to lack of patrons.
Members you need to get your dues paid by December 31st. If you are not a paid up member you will not
be allowed to come in the post and participate in any
functions.
I
We are still looking for volunteers, no one has volunteered yet. Come on and give us a hand. It is the
same people helping when volunteers are needed.
One of our members in in Afghanistan, he is in a
Stryker Fire Support Vehicle and is in the Platoon
FSNCO providing artillery and air support.
He requested wet wipes because they have no water to
shower with when out on patrol. Our post sent him
some wet wipes and snacks.
Congratulations to our District 11 Voice of Democracy
and Patriot's Pen winners.

HOUSE COMMITTEE REPORT
There is no '1" in Team;
Gut there is a "u" in voiunieer!
We all need to give thanks to the volunteers who helped
keep this post moving over the past year. There is too
many to list by name, but they made pizza, prepared great
dinners, sold tickets, ran raffles, decorated the post,
marched in parades and preformed maintenance, the list
go's on.
The up coming year is going to require the same so
please volunteer.
Jim Davis,
House Committee Chairman

COOTIES' CORNER
LADIES' AUXILIARY NEWS
Hello Ladies,
Wishing everyone a Healthy Blessed New Year.
Our District 11 Patriot Pen and Voice of Democracy Awards'
Ceremony held at our Post was a huge success. We had over 26
students and their families come to pizza night. Representatives
from the different Posts in our district were also on hand to give
out checks and congratulate the young people. As usual Hobe
Sound had the winners! Karly Landvay took first place in our Post
and at the District level in Patriot Pen. Janette Parsons won first
place at our Post and at the District level in Voice of Democracy. Both girls will have a chance now to go to the Department
of Florida contest were thousands of dollars and scholarships are
at stake. We will keep our fingers crossed for them. Big thank
you to Ida, Irene, Christine, and Patty for all their help at the ceremony and to the pizza crew of Commander Polzin for
their excellent pizzas.
In order to bring back the horse races we need VOLUNTEERS,
our post does not function by itself In the past the horse races
has been a successful event for the Cooties but due to lack of
volunteers it had to be dropped, please help us bring the races
back so we can continue to help our hospitalized veterans.
Our January 3rd meeting we will be discussing bringing the VA
hospital veterans to our post for horse races and pizza, it is an
event they look forward to, VOLUNTEER and make this day
special for our veterans.
Cooties members don't forget our meetings are the first Monday
of every month at 6:31.
Help us help our Veterans.
In other news we have a holiday dinner and dance this Saturday,
December 18. In January we have gotten hold of a "live band" for
our dinner and dance and hope to have a huge crowd to hear
these gentlemen who play at different commander's balls around
the state. Be looking for flyers and get your tickets early. Don't
forget the raffle packages still going on. Ask a member or the
bartender for tickets.
Keep them smiling in beds of white.
