THE SWANSEA SITE
Swansea is part of the Electrical business; it is going through a significant change process at
the moment. In the future Swansea will be a Centre of Excellence for Collector and metal
graphite product manufacturing. Swansea is in the process of consolidating the Site and has
recently achieved significant capital investment in new process equipment. These plans have
also received financial support from the Welsh Government.

What to expect on your first day
On your first day you will meet your new team and be shown around your department. You will
also be given a full introduction to the company, which will include a site tour, spending time in
the factory, and inductions with HR, IT and EH&S (Environmental, Health and Safety).
During the week your manager will run through what is expected of you throughout the year, go
into more details about the projects you will be working on and will set your objectives.
Dress Code:
Day-to-day the dress code is business casual - this means smart trousers and a shirt/jumper for
gents (not suit and tie) and smart trousers/skirt for ladies (again not a suit). If you are attending a
meeting or presenting then check with your line manager if you need to wear more formal attire.
