Main St., Raeford, NC 28376 February 2013 No. 2 JUST THINK Years ago, signs along the roadways of the state were posted in an effort to prevent accidents that could not only be devastating to motorists and passengers, but also to the many friends and family members of crash victims. These signs carried only one word – THINK. There is no telling how many accidents were avoided by these one-word signs. When driving, it is always good to be aware of your surroundings and to watch out for other cars. Your life and the emotional well being of those close to you depend on it. Just imagine the disasters that could be avoided if we would just think before we speak. When words flow from the mouth, it is impossible to retrieve them. When certain words are spoken, they are like out-of-control automobiles that devastate lives. The Bible instructs us to be slow to speak; the writers of Scripture understood that darting words can mutilate and kill. February is known as the month of love. Loving words lift souls and build up the Lord’s Church. CHANGE SERVICE REQUESTED First Baptist Church 333 N. Main Street Raeford, NC 28376 The Beckoner of First Baptist Church Vol. 40 C ! S#$$ Rev.
