TOTC FALL CARD PARTY
BLUE MASS: to honor Police, Fire, EMS and their families.
All are invited to attend a special Blue Mass in honor of our
local Police, Fire, and EMS personnel. The Mass will be
held on September 13, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Peter
Catholic Church in downtown Steubenville. The Most Reverend Jeffrey Monforton, Bishop of the Diocese of Steubenville, will be the celebrant. The Blue Mass has been
celebrated for many years throughout the country as a
way to ask for God’s blessing upon those who serve their
communities, to acknowledge those who have paid the
ultimate sacrifice and to support those whose life is committed to serving others. Please join us in praying for our
local heroes and for God’s protection upon them as they
continue to protect us and to serve our community . All
Police, Fire, and EMS personnel are invited to attend with their
families (please be at the church by 9:45am “in uniform”.
TOTC FALL CARD PARTY: The Catholic Women’s Club
from Triumph of the Cross Parish will be hosting its annual
FALL Card Party on Sunday, September 20th in the
Holy Rosary Auditorium. If you can donate baked goods
for the Card Party Bake Sale, please call Lil Meronoff at
(740) 264-5782. Additional information and raffle
tickets are available in the Church foyer. Thank you for
supporting our efforts! Raffle Tickets available at Holy Rosary Church entrance (narthex).
CWC: Triumph of the Cross CWC Monthly meeting on
Tuesday, September 1st at 6:00 p.m. in Holy Rosary
Auditorium. All women of Triumph of the Cross Parish are
welcome to attend.
RCIA INQUIRY: Our next opportunity for those wanting
to know more about the Rite of Christian Initiation of
Adults is on Thursday, September 3rd. We will gather
in the Marian Room at 7:00 p.m.
WHITE MASS: will be celebrated on Sunday, September 20th at Blessed Sacrament Church in Wintersville at
11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in Sargus Hall.
Now is the time to invite others to Christ. Knock on
your neighbor’s door. Take the risk of asking someone if they would like to celebrate their relationship
with Christ through the sacraments of the Church.
Tell them what this means to you and your life.
A second White Mass will be celebrated on Sunday, November 1 at Christ the King University Parish in Athens at
10:00 a.m., also with a reception to follow.
If there are any children who are 7 years of age or older
and are considering being baptized, now is the time for
them to register as well. They should come on Thursday
evening also.
The White Mass, so named by the color worn by those in
the healing profession of medicine, gathers health care
professionals under the patronage of St. Luke to ask God’s
blessing upon the patient doctor, nurse and caregiver
alike.
SNACKS FOR RCIA: Phyllis Kolopajlo is coordinating individuals who are willing to assist in providing snacks for the
RCIA Team and Participants. On the particular Thursday
that you would volunteer to you bring the items to the
Marian Room at about 6:30 p.m. For more details and information on how to participate, please contact Phyllis at
740-282-0536. If she does not answer, please leave a
message for her. Thank you, Fr. Nau.
RED MASS: will be celebrated on Sunday, October
18th at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Steubenville. A reception will follow. This Mass, which is celebrated for judges, attorneys, law school professors, students and government officials, requests guidance from
the Holy Spirit for all who seek justice, and offers the opportunity to reflect on the God-given power and responsibility of all in the legal profession.
HOLY HOUR FOR VOCATIONS: This will be held on
Thursday, September 3rd after the 8:30 a.m. Mass until
10:00 a.m. During this time various prayers are recited
during the Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
WOMEN RELIGIOUS MASS: A celebration of significant
anniversaries Mass, will be held on Sunday, October 4th
at noon at the Basilica of St. Mary of The Assumption in
Marietta. A picnic will follow.
CANDLE ROSARY: The Daughters of Holy Mary of the
Heart of Jesus invite you to join us for a Candle Rosary on
September 7th at 7:45 p.m. Vespers of the Nativity of the
Blessed Mother on the occasion of the 17th Anniversary of
the Pontifical Approval of our Religious Institute by St.
John Paul II. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Oratory, 700

The annual, significant WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
MASSES will be celebrated on Saturday, November 21 at
St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Ironton at the 5:15 p.m.
Mass; Sunday, November 22 at the noon Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption, and at Holy Family
Church in Steubenville at 5:30 p.m.
