to have peace. Name one way that you can forgive a
friend or classmate.

given the gift of peace. How do you experience this gift,
and how do you share it with others?
Pastoral Council Nominations
We are accepting
nominations this month
for
the
2016-2017
Pastoral Council. If you
would like to nominate
yourself, or someone you know, please print the person’s
name on a piece of paper and drop it in the silver box in
the church foyer. If possible, please also include a phone
number for the person. Discernment will be on Sunday,
June 5 at 3pm. For questions, contact Jeanne Newman at
jpnewman@hughes.net or 281-433-9731.
April Pastoral Council Update
The Holy Trinity Pastoral Council met on April 7.
Chris Fowler provided an update on the Holy Trinity
Family Festival scheduled for May 22. Planning for the
event is in its final stages, including pre-sale arrangements
for raffle tickets and event t-shirts. Many thanks to Chris
and the festival volunteers for planning a fun-filled event!
The new entryway sign was ordered and installed. The
previous sign will be moved to the LeBlanc Building. We
also discussed the Pastoral Council nomination process
for next year’s council. More information on nominations
and the discernment schedule will be provided in May.
Please think about who you would like to nominate for
service on our Pastoral Council. Other agenda items
included updates on the Building Committee, Capital
Campaign, the new bulletin design, and the Bishop’s Faith
Appeal. Our next meeting was May 5 at 6:30pm.
Dear God, as You hold these people in the palm of Your hands, please give them peace of mind, comfortable rest and fulfillment of Christ.

We focus in the coming months on the Corporal
and Spiritual Works of Mercy and begin with the
Corporal Works. They are found in the teachings of
Jesus and give us a model for how we should treat all
others, as if they were Christ in disguise. They
respond to the basic needs of humanity as we journey
together through this life.
VISIT THE PRISONERS
People in prison are still people, made in the image and
likeness of God. No matter what someone has done, they
deserve the opportunity to hear the Word of God and find
the Truth of the message of Christ.
 See if your parish, or a nearby parish, has a prison
ministry and if so, get involved.
 Volunteer to help out or donate to charities that give
Christmas presents to children whose parents are in
prison.
