This is what the mast head of the “new” www.pca.org looks like. Actually, it looks a lot better in the web-site format! To get more access to content, you must “log-in” with your PCA ID or the email address PCA has on record. If you don’t remember your ID or email address, Don Chaisson, Membership Chair, can send you the information. Once you log-in, the screen presents many links and information, (my example); It includes a “Welcome” to you, a reminder when you need to renew by, a “search” form and a number of links: Membership, News, Magazine access, Classified ads, Technical Q&A archives and how to contact PCA. There are a number of “Featured” news items and additional links to Events, Club Racing/Competition and PCA Store at the bottom. In general, the new site seems to be robust and working well. Here are a few suggestions. First, go to News link and click on “E-Brake News” and subscribe. You will get weekly information about Porsche sent to your email – better than a lot of other (junk) mail I get! You can access digital copies of Panorama via the “Magazine” link. You will need to register and log in separately with you email address and (I think) your default passcode will be your member number. Once in, you get the full current issue and access to pass Panorama’s. Its convenient when traveling to have access to some good “Porsche” reading material! The technical article section seems a bit incomplete. I tried several Q&A’s and many did have “answers”, some did not. One part of the site that was surprising was the “PCA Store”. The number of clothing items available for men was numerous and had reasonable prices (for something that has PORSCHE written on it!) It was surprising that there were fewer offerings for women (18 vs 35 for men – go figure! ) The website also allows members to post classified ads, articles and photos… The site allows me, as Membership Chair, constant access to the latest updates in our region’s membership. A quick audit found the data accurate against the last printouts from the old website. 9 10 11 EL PORTAL YOSEMITE REGION PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA 513 STANWICK STREET BRENTWOOD, CA 94513
