QUESTIONS OF THE WEEK
Question for Youth: Jesus tells us to always be ready to
hear him. What are some ways that he speaks to us?
Question for Adults: On a daily basis, what are some
ways to keep yourself “ready for God to act?” How do you pay
attention to God’s often-less-than-obvious actions?
Marriage Encounter
Married Couples, would you like a
special weekend at the SAN PEDRO
RETREAT CENTER where you will find a
peaceful and God-centered atmosphere for
you and your spouse?
The next DIOCESE OF
ORLANDO WORLDWIDE MARRIAGE
ENCOUNTER is Friday, August 19th @ 7:30 pm
thru Sunday, August 21 @ 4 pm.
For more information/and or to register, call Bob/Sheila Baker
@407.647.4289 or visit: WWME.ORG.
You will be glad you did!
Please Do Not Park in the O’Reilly
Auto Parts Loading Zone!
They have been nice so far, but they will
need to tow if they are unable to get
deliveries.
For a large part of the liturgical year, we devote
ourselves to listening to the mystery of Christ in
all its aspects unfolded as we seek God's truth
and understanding.
St. Therese Lay Carmelite Community
Looking for something and you are not
sure what? Are you wanting intimacy
with God, a deeper way of prayer?
Perhaps you are being called to Carmel.
We’re lay Catholic people who belong to
the secular branch of the Carmelite
Order. Our community meetings are
currently held at St. Vincent DePaul
Church in Wildwood.
If you think the Carmelite way might be for you, please
contact Jackie Harig at 352.446.0445 or
May Fischer at 352.771.1084.
Through Carmelite studying, prayer and insight, your life
will be transformed.
The August 20-21 second collection is held on behalf of the
Florida Catholic ministry. The ministry depends on the
generosity of those who want to support Catholic
communications and evangelization. Your support of the Florida Catholic is greatly appreciated. Watch for the
opportunity to subscribe or renew in the fall. Tammy Osborne, Circulation Coordinator

Extraordinary Experience.
It is a wonderful privilege to
bring Christ to shut-ins in their
homes. Their lives inspire.
Many of the people I see have
been ill for years, and frequently I see these people with their
Bible open or a Rosary in their hand. There are two whom I
have visited, who themselves were Ministers to the Sick for
over 30 years each. Their example of selfless love of God has
enriched my life and devotions. Y ou, too, can experience this.
Think about joining the Ministry to the Sick.
Please call our office for more information at 728.5652.
Did you know if you or a relative have a
scheduled operation planned and want the
Anointing of the Sick, see the Priest after
Mass or make an appointment before you go
into the hospital?
The priest can then arrange to anoint you.
With the busy schedules our priests have, this
would help them tremendously and ensure you receive the
Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Did you know that you
or a relative, after discharge from the hospital and confined at
home, a nursing home or rehab center, can request a visit from
our ministers?
Call the Ministry to the Sick Office at 728.5652 and you will
be visited once a week.
Let’s welcome our newest members to
our parish family.

Music, thereby relieving your loved ones of this during their time
of grief. This service is provided at the Pastoral Care Office by
appointment. Call the Pastoral Care Office at 728-5652 to set an
appointment.

Do you feel the Holy Spirit gently leading you to learn more
about the Catholic faith?
Do you belong to another faith tradition and have questions about
Catholicism? Searching for answers?
Please consider joining our RCIA group.
Gatherings are informal and your friend, spouse or fiancé is
welcome to join you if you would like them to. Through weekly
group gatherings, faith is deepened in both small and large group
sharing. You will be supported on the journey by parish sponsors,
faith-filled parishioners who are eager to share their own faith
journey with you. The teachings of Jesus and our Church, along
with Scripture, are all part of the content of the gatherings.
Any adult interested in becoming a Catholic is invited to
walk
a journey of faith
that leads to full initiation into the Catholic Church. Full initiation
involves the celebration of the sacraments of Baptism,
Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.
Won’t you join us?
