Chas ty
The Respect Life Ministry sponsored an
essay contest for the students of grades 7 &
8 in St. Paul School. The theme was
“Chas!ty.” All of the essays were
excellent! As our future leaders, their
insights and convic!ons give us a lot of hope. We
congratulate them, their parents and teachers! On
May 16, awards were presented to three of them:
1st place, Paul Nikolai ($25); 2nd place, Makayla Newmons
($15); 3rd place, Crystal Cas!llo, ($10). Here are some
sound bites selected from each of them, respec!vely, for
this column: “Chas!ty tells a person to be fully and
completely giving to God un!l you marry, and then you
stay completely loyal to your spouse during marriage.”
“As Catholics, we believe that God gave us the virtue of
chas!ty to keep us healthy and happy, physically and
spiritually.” “When we obey the law of chas!ty and
keep ourselves morally clean, we will have increased
love and peace.”
The Novena following the Mass on Wednesday, June 15,
is for a Papal Inten!on.
