Sermon Introduction
Have you encountered people who live in modern-day despair? They have no purpose
for living. They live on the verge of sadness. They are afraid to peer over and see
what is next. They live from experience to experience, hoping to find a bit of happiness
in their lives to cover their loneliness and purposelessness.
In the book of Micah, we can peep into God’s future plans. Let us live with hope in
our hearts, hope in our lives, and hope in the life of this church – hope that will be
attractive to people who are searching for meaning, searching for community, and
searching for acceptance.
God has a marvelous plan, an exciting design that carries on into eternity. God invites
us to participate in His sovereign plan. Join me in responding to God’s plan.
Gilda Roddy,
Pastoral Care
Together in Prayer
If you have ever wondered why, how, or when to intercede in prayer for the church, this is for you. Jesus
invites us to do so. The Prayer Place is the place. Join us Sabbath mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.,
from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., or from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We are located by the patio in room 102.
LLUC services are aired live on the church website at
www.lluc.org and are also aired live and broadcast on
Loma Linda Broadcasting Network (LLBN) via the Internet
at www.llbn.tv, Time Warner Cable channel 17 in Loma

Camp Meeting Video Volunteers: LLUC
Media is making videos for camp meeting
again, and we need volunteers for extra
acting. It’s a great chance to see what
goes on behind the scenes. We’re looking
for about 150 extras for five short videos. If
you’re interested in acting or serving for a
few hours or a few days, visit our website
at lluc.org to fill out a volunteer form.
Family Fun Nights: Join in the summer
fun for the whole family every Wednesday
in July from 6 to 8 p.m. Activities will
include water slides, bouncy balls, corn
dogs, shaved ice, and the biggest slip and
slide you ever fell down on! Bring your
swimsuit, $3 admission, and an appetite
for summer fun. The event will be at
Loma Linda Elementary School (10656
Anderson St., LL). Children 12 years
and younger must be accompanied by a
parent or guardian at all times.
Quilters will not meet in the month of
July. Please remember to support the
Quilters Ministry through the summer by
bringing cloth, thread, yard, or backing to
the church office. The quilts are donated
to the SACHS clinic and to LLUMC for
babies in need.
WE BUILD: You are invited to join the
“WE BUILD” program – a daring faith
and fundraising campaign where LLUC
membership can sign up for re-occurring
giving via the church website to build our
new ministry building. Log on to lluc.org
and click on the give button.
Pathfinder and Adventurer Club
registration will be open beginning on
Sabbath, July 23. Look for the signup table
in the breezeway or go to www.lluc.org in
the coming weeks.
