Dr. Parrott and his wife Leslie have been leading voices in our country (and even internationally) for marital health and longevity and they have done so from a decidedly Christian perspective. They have been featured in newspapers such as USA Today and the New York Times. The two have also appeared on CNN, The View, The O’Reilly Factor, The Today Show, and Oprah. Their books have sold over two million copies in more than two dozen languages and include the bestselling and Gold-medallion winner, Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts, a book that I personally have recommended to many engaged couples. It’s no secret that relationships—marriage in particular—are in trouble today. Finding not only longevity, but relational health, can seem elusive. And one of the key culprits has to do with how couples manage conflict. For that reason, the theme of this day with Dr. Parrott is especially timely. I’m so pleased that you’ve joined us! Dr. Randy Speyer did the behind-the-scenes work to bring Dr. Parrot to our church, and Pastor Roy Ice is heading up the team that hosts him today. I am grateful to both of them. I pray for God’s richest blessings on each worshiper today. Randy Roberts, senior pastor Together in Prayer If you have ever wondered why, how, or when to intercede in prayer for the church, this is for you. Jesus invites us to do so.
