REST IN PEACE
Our Parish Community wishes to
extend our sympathy to the family
and friends of all the faithful
departed. May they rest in peace.
Stewardship Reflection for
April 13, Palm Sunday
In Saint Paul’s letter to the Philippians he makes clear that
Christ “emptied himself.” He was not “full of himself.”
Jesus embraced the characteristics of humility, service
and obedience to carry out the will of his Father. Christian stewards know that there is no room for the Lord in a
life that is full of oneself. Christian stewards follow
Christ’s example by taking on the characteristics of humility, servanthood and obedience. Our culture does not
reward such attitudes. But God exalts those stewards who
for His sake, empty themselves. It is only when we empty
ourselves that there is room for God to work within us.

HOLY WEEK MORNING PRAYER
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday of
Holy Week (April 17, 18, & 19) there are no
morning Masses. Please join us at 9:00 AM
each of these days to celebrate Morning
Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours.
“In this ‘public prayer of the Church,’ the
faithful...exercise the royal priesthood of the baptized… ‘(It)
is truly the voice of the Bride herself addressed to her
Bridegroom. It is the very prayer which Christ Himself
together with His Body addresses to the
Father.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church # 1174)
This celebration unites us to Christ our high priest as we
pray Psalms and canticles, meditate on the Word of God,
and receive His blessing. It joins us with Jesus’ unceasing
and universal prayer that gives glory to the Father and
implores the gift of the Holy Spirit on the whole world.
