Skill and talent is not lacking in our membership. Congratulations to all of you. I am very pleased to share that we have also made great strides toward making our club financially secure. The run thrus were extremely successful as are all of our classes, and of course our renters. Our financial success could not have been accomplished without the efforts of some very special people who were willing to give their time over and over again. I am not going to name any one person because I am afraid that I might miss someone. So Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to all of you who have done so much for our club. You know who you are. I would, also, like to thank Jim Hurlbut for his many years of calling on Club night. He will continue through the end of the year but he has just recently decided to stop calling as of the end of 2011. Thank you Jim. We will miss your knowledge and your generosity in sharing. We discussed what to do with "Club Night" and after tossing a few ideas around, we came up with this. As a thank you to our membership for your continued support through the years, we would like to announce that Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 10:00 will be free time for members to run their dog in obedience. Open club night will begin the first Wednesday in January and will continue on a trial basis. The Board will be working on a rules list that must be followed in order for this to continue. I hope that you will take advantage of this new opportunity to share what you know about obedience with other members. We are going to set a date in the new year for a "deep cleaning" party. We hope that you will be able to join us to help make our facility not only functional but clean environment. I hope to see you all at the Christmas Party. At Nathan Hale, November 13, 2011 “Ricky” took 4th place and completed his CD. At the Thanksgiving cluster at Western MA, on Thursday and Saturday Ricky earned two more bumper legs. On Sunday he was given a break and entered in Rally Advanced. Now most who know him, know that once he takes the jump (in Rally only) he decides it’s fun time and will run and play in the ring. He hasn’t been shown or trained in Rally since last year at this time when I pulled him. Today I am pleased to say he did a very nice job which earned him his Rally Advanced title and 2nd place. I am very proud of “Ricky”, aka Ulric vom Kriegerhaus, CD, RA, TC, CGC ! ~Lyn Chernak Gillie did a great job in Utility Thanksgiving in Springfield earning 2nd place with a score of 196 1/2 in Utility B. He has also been working in Agility and has now achieved his Standard Open Preferred title as well as Excellent A JWW. Frankly I'm amazed we have achieved this level of Agility, as I started training him as a fun thing for him to do with no intention of trying to trial. If he had a more agile trainer, I think he could go a long way! But the Thanksgiving weekend was all Obedience and we ran into some problems which thankfully appeared solved on the Sunday..Mason Cable November 2011 PKC is holding its 2012 Match on SUNDAY, APRIL 29, 2012 at Putnam Veterans Memorial Park on Gipsy Trail in Carmel. Hope to see some of you there Gretchen We want to wish ALL members continued success in their training and all other endeavors.
