UVODNIK
Dragi ~itaoci,
informi{ete o va{im interesovanjima, mi }emo i
vama dopasti.
Ali krenimo redom. Kao i obi~no, u ovom broju
}ete ~itati o drugim školama, a ovoga puta je u
pitanju Osnovna škola „[arski odred“ iz [trpca.
U rubrici For You Fashion, predstavi}emo vam
zimu. Pored toga, upozna}emo vas sa Gibonnijem,
hrvatskim peva~em, jednim od najpopularnijih u
regionu. @ivotinjsko carstvo vam donosi „neodoljive
fotografije koje prikazuju predivnu vezu izme|u
`ivotinja i njihovih mladunaca“.
Filmski kutak }e vam u ovom broju predstaviti
Do slede}eg ~itanja u februaru,

OSNOVNA ŠKOLA „ŠARSKI
ODRED“ U ŠTRPCU
direktor {kole Slobodan Pavletovi}
D
ragi u~enici, nadamo
se da ste se dobro
odmorili, i da ste u
miru i blagostanju proveli
novogodi{nje praznike.
Tako|e, nadamo se da ste
tokom raspusta pro~itali i
neku {kolsku lektiru, mo`da
i ve`bali doma}e zadatke,
ne bi li se {to bolje pripremili
za nove izazove u drugom
polugo|u.
Verovatno mnogi od vas
jedva ~ekaju da ugledaju
na{ ~asopis, i saznaju koju
smo to {kolu predstavili
za januarsko izdanje.
Svakako nam je ~ast {to
vas u svakom izdanju
upoznajemo sa po jednom
novom {kolom sa Kosova.
Ovoga puta, re{ili smo da
odemo do [trpca, ta~nije
posetili smo selo Ja`ince
u kome se nalazi Osnovna
{kola „[arski odred“.
Imali smo zadovoljstvo da
porazgovaramo sa nekim
od u~enika, koje mo`ete
upoznati u na{oj rubrici
Upitnik, kao i sa direktorom
{kole, Slobodanom
Pavletovi}em (po struci
profesor fizi~kog vaspitanja).
20 godina sam radio
kao profesor, i sa velikim
zadovoljstvom mogu
re}i da dobro poznajem
decu, roditelje, nastavnike,
i sve {to je vezano za jednu
{kolu. Jer da biste bili dobar
direktor, morate imati veliko
iskustvo, a nije lako biti
direktor za onoga koçho}e
da bude odgovoran. Iskren
da budem, meni je ova {kola
na prvom a ku}a na drugom
mestu“.
Prema njegovim re~ima,
{kola ima 380 u~enika i
80 zaposlenih radnika,
uklju~uju}i i pomo}no
osoblje. Me|uljudski odnosi
su odli~ni, jer postoji dobra
komunikacija kako
me|u nastavnicima
i direktorom,
tako i roditeljima
i u~enicima. „Da
biste bili jedna
uspe{na osoba
koja je na nekoj
tako odgovornoj poziciji,
vi morate biti svestrana
li~nost koja ima mnogo
razumevanja za decu,
zaposlene, roditelje, kao
i za sve ostale koji `ive u
ovoj sredini. Mi smo ipak
jedna multietni~ka sredina,
i moramo po{tovati i
razumeti jedni druge kako
bi sve funckionisalo onako
kako treba. Jednostavno,
komunikacija je presudna,
a mi moramo komunicirati
sa svima onima koji `ele
dobro na{oj {koli“.
Humanitarni rad ~ini
osobu boljom
Da je direktor svestrana
li~nost, pokazuje i ~injenica
da je godinama radio
kao spasilac u Ski centru
„Brezovica“, jedan human
posao, {to svakako mo`e
poslu`iti svim mladima
kao jedan dobar primer.
Me|utim, on nam se
pohvalio da su deca
zainteresovana za sport, te
da je mnogo njih u~lanjeno
u vi{e sportskih klubova koji
se nalaze u [trpcu.
Ono {to direktora i
zaposlene u {koli posebno
Iskustvo jednako

Sa njim smo razgovarali
o svim izazovima sa kojima
se ova {kola susre}e, koja
ina~e ima jo{ dva odeljenja,
u Vrbe{tici i Sevcu. „Ve}

brine jesu uslovi za rad,
na kojima se itekako mo`e
poraditi. Npr. potrebna
im je sportska sala u
Vrbe{tici i Ja`incu, da
bi se i tokom zimskog
perioda nesmetano odvijao
~as fizi~kog vaspitanja.
[kolska zgrada u Vrbe{tici
proki{njava, i potrebno joj
je renoviranje. „Nekako se
snalazimo, imamo skromne
uslove, ali uvek mo`e bolje.
Dajemo svoj maksimum da
na{im u~enicima pru`imo
samo najbolje. I roditelji
su uvek tu da pomognu,
zainteresovani su za
{kolu i za sve {to se ti~e
nje. Nadamo se da }emo
uspeti da {kolu dovedemo
u najbolji red, {to se ti~e
sportske opreme, kabineta i
svega ostalog potrebnog za
rad i pobolj{anje uslova“.
Poruka mladima
Za kraj, direktor O[
„[arski odred“ u [trpcu,
Slobodan Pavletovi},
poru~io je mladima na
Kosovu slede}u poruku:
„Osnovna {kola je temelj
za budu}e obrazovanje i
vaspitanje, ona je osnova
za razvoj li~nosti i svakog
dru{tva u celini. Obrazujte
se jer je obrazovanje klju~
uspeha, budite poslu{ni,
po{teni i dobri ljudi. Danas
je bez obrazovanja i
lepog vaspitanja te{ko biti
uspe{an u bilo ~emu“.

PRIMARY SCHOOL
„SARSKI ODRED“
IN STRPCE
D
ear students, we
hope that you had
a good rest, and
that you’ve spent the New
Year’s holidays in peace and
prosperity. Also, we hope that
you have read some school
reading during the holidays,
perhaps even practiced
homework, in order to better
prepare for new challenges
in the second half of the
school year.
Many of you are
probably eager to set eyes
on our magazine and find
out which school we have
presented in the January
edition. Of course, we are
honoured to you introduce
you to one new school in
Kosovo in each edition. This
time, we decided to go to
Strpce, more precisely, we
visited the village Jazince
in which there is a primary
school “Sarski odred” (Sara
Mountain Detachment). We
had the pleasure to talk with
some of the students, whom
you can meet in our section
questionnaire, as well as
with the school principal,
Mr. Slobodan Pavletovic (a
certified physical education
teacher).
Expirence equals
capability
With him we talked about
all the challenges that this
school, which normally
has two departments, in
Vrbestica and Sevce, meets.
“For 20 years I worked as a
teacher and I can say with
great pleasure that I know
the kids, parents, teachers,
and all that is related to a
school. In order to be a good
director, you need to have
a lot of experience, and it
is not easy to be a director
for the one who wants to be
responsible. To be honest,
for me this school
is in the first place
and my own home
in the second.”
According to
him, the school
has 380 students
and 80 employees,
including the
support staff.
Interpersonal
relationships are
great, because
there is good
communication
between both the
teachers and the
principal, and
parents and students.
“To be a successful
person who is at such a
responsible position, you
need to have a versatile
personality who has a
lot of sympathy for the
children, employees,
parents, and all
others who live in this
environment. We are
nevertheless a multiethnic environment, and
we have to respect and
understand each other
so that everything would
function as it should.
Simply, communication
is crucial, and we need
to communicate with all
those who wish well to our
school.”
Humanitarian work
makes person
better
That the director has
a versatile personality is
evidenced by the fact that
for years he worked as a
lifeguard at the Ski centre
“Brezovica”, which is a
humane profession and it
certainly can serve as a
good example to all youth.
However, he praised to us
that children are interested
in sport, and that many
of them are members
of several sports clubs
located in Strpce.
What the director and
employees of the school
are particularly concerned
with working conditions
which would certainly
use some improvement.
E.g. they need a sports
hall in Vrbestica and
Jazince in order to have
physical education classes
undisturbed even during
the winter time. The school
building in Vrbestica
is leaking and needs
renovation. “Somehow
we manage, we work in
modest conditions, but it
can always be better. We
give our utmost to provide
our students with the very
best. And parents are
always there to help, they
are interested in school and
everything related to it. We
hope to be able to bring
the school into the best
order, concerning sports
equipment, cabinets and
everything else needed for
work and improvement of
conditions. “
Message to the
youth
In the end, the director
of the elementary school
“Sarski odred” in Strpce,
Slobodan Pavletovic, said
to young people in Kosovo
the following: “Primary
school is the foundation
for future education;
it is the basis for the
development of every
person and society as a
whole. Educate yourself
because education is the
key to success, and be
respectful, honest and
good people. Today is
hard to be successful at
anything without education
and good manners.”
Warm welcome for “For You” team

mogu da vam opišem, potrebno
je da ga do`ivite.
Saslu{aj pre nego {to progovori{
Lj
udi ~esto ulaze u sukob: u
njihovom susedstvu zbog
parking mesta ili buke, u
kancelariji zbog opšteg
interesa, ~ak i u svojoj porodici ponekad;
spisak je skoro beskrajan. Najbolji ishod
potrebna tre}a strana tj. posrednik - lice
koje }e pregovarati.
Nedavno smo dobili jedan ~lanak od
Aleksandre, mlade devojke iz severne
Mitrovice. Ona je htela da objasni
svojim vršnjacima kako ona shvata
posredovanje, i da prenese poruku
da je posredovanje jedan od najboljih
pristupa u o~uvanju poverenja izme|u
dveju strana.
MEDIJACIJA
(ŠTA JE TO?)
Nedavno sam ušla u jednu
prodavnicu kada me je poznanica
zapitala šta radim i kako sam. Odgovorila
“medijacije”.
6 for you
se radi. Razmišljaju}i o tom
slu~ajnom susretu, došla sam
do ideje da napišem jedan
~lanak i informišem ljude iz
svoje okoline o tome šta je
medijacija.
Dakle, medijacija je
na~in rešavanja konflikta i
prevazila`enje nesporazuma
u kome se pojavljuje tre}a
(neutralna) strana/e (medijator/i)
koji “razgovorom do dogovora”,
što je ujedno i slogan naše
organizacije, uspevaju da
smire napetu situaciju i reše
konflikt. Sam cilj medijacije, kao
na~ina za rešavanje konflikta
nenasilnim putem, jeste da se
problemu ili konfliktu pri|e na
konstruktivan na~in i do|e do
zajedni~kog rešenja oko koga
postoji saglasnost obe strane
(koje su u sukobu). Samim
tim, medijacija ima sve bitne
karakteristike procesa rešavanja
problema:
-definisanje problema,
-izlistavanje mogu}ih rešenja,
-izbor rešenja,
-donošenje odluke,
-sprovo|enje odluke i
bez optu`ivanja, kritikovanja i etikiranja
drugih,
-veština pregovaranja kojima se
proces usmerava ka pozitivnom ishodu
uz ponovno uspostavljanje poverenja,
-procedure i pravila kojima se
uvodi red u ponašanje i odnose me|u
stranama u procesu medijacije.
Sve ove veštine treba da
poseduje svaki medijator kako
bi uspešno sproveo proces
medijacije. Ako `elite da nam
se prodru`ite ili da saznate
nešto više, do|ite u Centar za
medijaciju za mlade u severnoj
Mitrovici.

poslu. Navodno, vršnjaci mogu bolje
da shvate spor nego neko sa strane.
Vršnja~ko posredovanje promoviše
socijalnu koheziju i potpoma`e zaštitne
faktore koji stvaraju pozitivnu atmosferu
u školi. Prema statisti~kim podacima,
vršnja~ko posredovanje je pomoglo
smanjenju stope kriminala u školama,
štedi vreme savetnika i administratora,
pospešuje samopoštovanje, pove}ava
prisustvo na ~asovima i podsti~e razvoj
liderstva i veštine za rešavanje problema
me|u u~enicima.
Posredovanje u zajednici
Sporovi u kojima u~estvuju susedi
~esto ne mogu se rešiti zvani~nim
mehanizmima. Centri za posredovanje
u zajednici uglavnom imaju te`ište
na rešavanje sukoba u susedstvu,
gde obu~eni lokalni volonteri imaju
ulogu posrednika. Takve organizacije
~esto slu`e stanovništvu koje sebi ne
mo`e priuštiti koriš}enje sudova ili
profesionalne provajdere Alternativnog
rešavanja sporova (ADR). Programi
u zajednicama obi~no pru`aju usluge
posredovanja u sporovima izme|u
stanodavaca i podstanara, ~lanova
udru`enja ku}e vlasnika i izme|u malih
preduze}a i potroša~a. Mnogi programi
u zajednicama nude svoje usluge
besplatno ili po nominalnoj ceni.

Mediation
Apparently, she thought it was
a meditation. I laughed and
explained to her what it is about.
Thinking about this “chance”
meeting, I came up with the idea
to write an article and inform
people in my surroundings on
what mediation is.
So, mediation is a way
of resolving conflicts and
overcoming misunderstandings
in which appears a third (neutral)
side/s (mediator/s) who “by
talking to an agreement,” which
is the motto of our organization,
manage to calm the tense
situation and resolve conflict. The
very purpose of mediation, as a
means to resolve a conflict in a
nonviolent way, is to approach
a problem or conflict in a
constructive way and come to
a mutual decision about which
there is agreement on both
sides (who are in conflict). Thus,
mediation has all the essential
features of the process of
problem solving:
A mediator helps solving problems
P
eople often come in conflict: in their
neighborhood because of the parking
or noise, in the office because of the
common interest, even in your own family
sometimes; the list is almost endless. The
best outcome will be to find a way to resolve
these issues and still be able to live and
work with those people. And, if two parties
cannot find a solution, then they need a
third party, the mediator – a person that will
negotiate.
Recently, we received an article from
Aleksandra, a young girl from Mitrovica
North. She wanted to explain to her peers
how she understands mediation and also
to give a message that mediation is one of
the best tools in maintaining the confidence
between the parties.
MEDIATION
(WHAT IS IT?)
Recently, I walked into a store when an
acquaintance asked me what I was doing
and how I am. I said that I was coming back
from “mediation”. She asked me where it
is so that she could join me and “relax”.
• defining the problem,
• listing of possible solutions,
• choice of solution,
• decision making,
• implementation of the decision and,
• estimate of the efficiency of decision/
solution.
In addition, there are also skills without
which mediation would not be successful,
and they are:
• skill of active listening
• skill to express your needs without
blaming, criticizing, and labelling others
• negotiation skill through which the
process is directed to the
positive outcome with the reestablishment of trust
• procedures and rules
which introduce order into the
behaviour and relationships
between the parties in the
mediation process
Every mediator should
have all of these skills to
successfully implement the
mediation process. If you would
like to join us or to learn more,
come to the Mediation Centre
for Youth in North Mitrovica. We
also expect your questions and
comments on our Facebook page,
“The Mediation Centre for Youth
North Mitrovica”. After all, you can
always come and help others to
“relax”, helping them to resolve a
conflict, and consequently, your
confidence will grow and you will feel good,
and I can describe this feeling for you, you
have to experience it.

Peer Mediation
A peer mediator is one who resembles
the disputants, such as being of similar
age, attending the same school or having
similar status in a business. Purportedly,
peers can better relate to the disputants
than an outsider. Peer mediation promotes
social cohesion and aids development
of protective factors that create positive
school climates. According to the statistics,
peer mediation helped reduce crime in
schools, saved counselor and administrator
time, enhanced self-esteem, improved
attendance and encouraged development of
leadership and problem-solving skills among
the students.
Community Mediation
Disputes involving neighbors often
have no official resolution mechanism.
Community mediation centers generally
focus on neighborhood conflict, with
trained local volunteers serving as
mediators. Such organizations often serve
populations that cannot afford to utilize the
courts or professional Alternative Dispute
Resolution (ADR) providers. Community
programs typically provide mediation for
disputes between landlords and tenants,
members of homeowners associations and
small businesses and consumers. Many
community programs offer their services for
free or at a nominal fee.

najhirovitije popularne devojke.

Pojedini dizajneri su odlu~ili da jako
visoke potpetice nisu najbolje rešenje
za zimu. Oni su predlo`ili udobne
~izme u kombinaciji sa toplim kratkim
pantalonama ili dugim jesenjim
haljinama. Dakle, ko`ne ~izme sa
prenaglašenim ukrasima. U Weitzmanovoj zimskoj kolekciji visoke ~izme u svim
nijansama sive zaslu`uju vašu pa`nju.
Me|utim, Allen Shvarts je predstavio
liniju vrhunskih kaubojskih ~izmica sa
raznobojnim nitnama.

Najekstravagantnije
tendencije u ~izmama za
predstoje}u sezonu
Vojni~ke ~izme su ove sezone
neizbe`ne u bilo kojem `enskom
garderoberu. Sama moda se razvija
poput spirale tako da se tendencije
ponavljaju svakih 10 do 15 godina. A ne
treba sumnjati da }e potroša~i postaviti
visoke zahteve kada je u pitanju obu}aa
vojni~kog stila. Ove ~izme, iako grube
i glomazne, a u isto vreme i atraktivne,
savršeno }e i}i uz “skini” farmerke
ili tople kratke pantalone. Me|utim,
mršavim devojkama se savetuje da ne
nose ovaj tip ~izama sa mini suknjom,
jer }e im noge u~initi još mršavijim i
mnogo manje privla~nim. Ne bi trebalo
da kupite ni pop verziju dizajnerskih
vojni~kih modela, jer, u skladu sa
najnovijim tendencijama, jedini ukras
koji bi ovakve ~izme trebalo da poseduju
su pertle.
Kaubojske ~izme su se
vratile
zimu 2015. Klasi~ni modeli imaju svoju
posebnu dra` i savršeno }e upotpuniti
imid` “tinejd`erke iz komšiluka”, koji
se sastoji od kaubojske košulje i uskih
farmerica. Detalji u vidu vezenog
`enstveni.

FASHIONABLE BOOTS FOR THIS WINTER
Boots are actually the most needed and common part of the
women’s wardrobe in winter. Girls are consciously ready to buy a
pair of boots that will go with a fancy dress, and a pair for everyday
occasions. However unusual it may seem, fashion designers have
taken in account the wishes of ordinary girls and put into a display a
collection of practical casual boots that will match any extravagant
outfit perfectly. As a result, the world’s best stores are occupied by
hot samples straight from the podium.
T
his winter girls will be able to find
a suitable pair of designer boots
that would fit any, even the most
outspoken look. During this winter there
won’t be any difficulty while choosing a
fashionable pair of footwear. Thanks to
designers, we will have an opportunity
to choose an immense number of
variants, which will satisfy even the
most capricious it-girls.
Extremely high heels and flat
soles are in
Some designers have decided that
such high heels are not the best option
in winter. They have offered to put on
comfortable boots with warm shorts or
long autumn
dresses. So,
leather boots and
high shoes with
overwhelming
amount of
ornamentation. In
the Weitzman’s
winter collection
the high boots
of all shades
of gray are
very well worth
your attention.
However, Allen
Shvarts has
presented a line of
top-notch cowboy
booties with rivets of all colors. These
booties will best match with: skinny
jeans; warm dresses; long skirts; as
well as with winter shorts.
As you must have noticed, boots with
flat soles are multipurpose and have
to be found in every wardrobe as a
pleasant alternative to high-heeled
boots and treads. Boots decorated
with zippers, bows and clenches
are the best choice. You can buy an
open-toe type for warm autumn or
covered ones for cold winter. Ankle
boots with high heels haven’t been
off the podiums. Restrained models
of classical style and black color are
in fashion also during this winter. The
boots of this kind are to put an accent
onto the bright clothes. But those to whom
this simple black style would seem too
dull, can choose the ones with small-sized
golden decorations.
Pretty suede
samples
and rough
rubberized
boots
have been
introduced
exceedingly higher and narrower.
The designers have been keen on
the militarization trend, that’s why
both pretty suede samples and rough
rubberized boots have been introduced
to the customer. The treads are best
worn with skirts and short dresses. The
representatives of the female party who
possess the gift of long legs are sure
to long for a pair or two of stocking-like
boots, the upper part of which almost
reaches hips.
The most extravagant
tendencies concerning
boots of the upcoming
season
Army boots can now be found in any
women’s wardrobe. The fashion by
itself develops and is spiral-like, so the
tendencies repeat themselves every
10-15 years. No doubt may be left that
customers will make high demands
on the army-style shoe-wear. These
boots, though rough and wide, but
stylish at the same time, will match
your skinny jeans or warm shorts
just perfect. However, a skinny girl is
greatly advised not to wear such kind
of boots with a mini, as they will make
her legs look even skinnier and much
less attractive. You shouldn’t buy a pop
version of designer army-type samples,
because, in accordance with the most
recent tendencies, the only item that
should be used with such a pair as a
decoration is shoe-laces.
Cowboy shoes are back
Cowboy shoes are back in fashion
as well in winter 2015. The classical
models have their special charm and
will perfectly add up to the image of “a
common teenage girl”, consisting of
cowboy shirt and a pair of tight jeans. A
bit of purl won’t spoil the picture either,
but instead make it more authentic and
feminine.

ZLATAN STIPISIC – GIBONNI
Z
latan Stipisic - Gibonni (Split, August 13, 1968), a Croatian musician, is one of the founders and the first singer
of the heavy metal band Osmi putnik (Eight Passenger/
Alien) from Split, the former lead singer of the Bosnian band
Divlje jagode (Wild Strawberries) and is best known for his
solo singer-songwriter career.

of his solo career to
Ruza vjetrova (Rose of

Biography
Osmi Putnik, Divlje Jagode, V2
Since 1985, Gibonni was a singer
in the band Osmi putnik, and at the
time his artistic nickname was Gibo.
From Osmi putnik Stipisic went to
the Bosnian heavy metal band Divlje
jagode, where he remained for a
year. From 1989 to 1990, Gibonni
lived in Berlin. There he played with
the band V2, with which he recorded
the album Out to Launch.
Solo career
Gibonni’s music (a kind of
mix of pop, folk and world
music) is characterized
by a unique, melancholic
Mediterranean atmosphere and intimate
lyricism. His songs
have been performed
by numerous famous
Croatian artists, and
won prestigious
music awards at
many music events.
His musical roots are easy
to find because his father,
Ljubo Stipisic, is probably the
most active archivist of Croatian
Shortly after his first album called
Sa mnom ili bez mene (With or
without me) happened the turning
point that changed his whole future
career: Gibonni wrote the song
Cesarica (Empress) for Oliver
Dragojevic. He immediately became a sought songwriter whose
songs have undoubtedly become
big hits. On the album Nojeva
arka (Noah’s Ark), in 1993, he
included the songs Zlatne godine
(Golden Years), which he wrote
in collaboration with Zrinko Tutic
for the movie of the same name,
and Mi smo prvaci (We Are the
Champions) which was declared
the anthem of Croatian Olympic
Federation. In the album were also
the hits Nek se dete zove kao ja (Let
the child be named after me), Dobri
judi (Good People) and Tebe nisam
bio vredan (I was not worthy of you).
He performed independently with
Bruno Kovacic, and then formed the
group consisting of Bruno Kovacic,
Renato Svorinic, Gordan Dorvak,
Josip Andric and himself.
With such a setup, Gibonni’s band
recorded two albums: Kruna od
perja (Crown of Feathers) in 1994,
and Ruza vjetrova (Rose of Winds)
in 1997. Although in this period
Gibonni created his best songs (Dve
duse or Two Souls, Ozdravi mi ti or
Heal For Me, Zivot me umorio or
Life Got Me Tired, Lipa moja or My
Linden Tree, Ovo mi je skola or This
Is a Lesson For Me, Tempera or
Oil-colour, Ako me nosis na dusi or
If You Bear Me as a Burden of Your
Soul, Hej vapore or Hey Steamboat,
It Is Not Time to Go to Field Because
of the Bad Weather), only after the
breakup of the group and with the
following albums comes the time for
the first official recognitions in the
form of awards. Thus begins a more
commercial Gibonni’s phase which
achieves a huge success among the
broad masses and critics.
Judi, zviri i bestimje
Next Gibonni’s solo album Judi,
zviri i bestimje or People, Animals
and Beasts (Dallas Records) was
released in February 1999 and it
was at this time the best-selling
album in Croatia and Slovenia winning 7 awards. On it were released
hits such as Cinim pravu stvar (I’m
doing the right thing), Projdi vilo
(Pass me by fairy) and Ja cu budan
sanjati (I’ll daydream). In 1999
and 2000, Gibonni was on tour in
Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and
Herzegovina, and held a number of
great concerts (e.g. in Zagreb hall
“Vatroslav Lisinski”).
Mirakul
Gibonni’s long-awaited album Mirakul, was released on 16 October
2001 and in a few days became
the bestselling Croatian album. To
date Mirakul has been sold in more
than 60,000 copies and it is the
best-selling album in recent years.
A number of excellent reviews
declared Mirakul the best album of
2001 (which extended to 2002 as
well) with a few songs that already
occupy an important place in music
history. On the album Mirakul are 13
songs involving several internationally renowned musicians such as
drummer Manu Katche, bassists
Pino Palladino and Tony Levin,
the star of world music Geoffrey
Oryema, the leader of the Italian
band Stadio, Gaetano Curreri, and
Vlatko Stefanovski. The album gets
8 awards, followed by a big tour,
and the concert in the hall of Dom
Sportova in Zagreb is immortalized
with a DVD titled ZG Mirakul Live in
Dallas Records release.
Unca fibre (An ounce of
fibre)
On 18 May 2006 was released
Gibonni’s album Unca fibre (Guide
to shipwrecks and guardian angels).
Vrime da se pomirim sa svitom
(Time to make peace with the
world) is a song that released the
album in which he cooperated with
Goran Bare and Maya Azucena
in the song Andjeo u tebi (Angel
in you) for which he also recorded
a video. These are not only duets
by Gibonni. He sang with Vanna
(former member of the band E.T.)
in the song Ja cu budan sanjati (I’ll
daydream) and Oliver Dragojevic in
the song U ljubav vjere nemam (In
love I have no faith).
In November 2007 was published
Gibonni’s biography Secret Skill. It
is a book which contains details of
private nature from Gibonni’s life and
his struggles since the time of the
band Osmi putnik until Unca fibre.
Toleranca (Tolerance)
On March 4, 2010 was released a
new eighth studio album Toleranca,
which in just eight days reached
platinum with over 15,000 copies
sold, and after nine months reaches a diamond circulation with over
30,000 copies sold, thus becoming
the best-selling album of 2010. For
the Toleranca Gibonni got even 5
awards, thereby consolidating the
first place in winning awards.
In June 2011, Ivo Scepanovic
(Croatian Times) for an article in
LA Times chose Gibonni’s song
Cemu se nadas srce moje (My
heart, what are you hoping to) as a
representative of Croatia for the list
of songs that deserve attention in
the United States.
Charity work
In 2000 Gibonni held a big concert in
Zagreb’s Maksimir Stadium, which
had visited over 32,000 people,
which was then the most visited
Croatian concert of all time. He
have established a fund for talented
children without parents, published
a book of poems in braille titled Two
Souls and earnings from the sale
were intended fir blind people from
the local community, and he also
participated in numerous charity
auctions.
In 2003 Zlatan Stipisic has become
a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
In February 2010, as a UNICEF
Goodwill Ambassador, he recorded
a video to help children in Haiti, and
participated in a big charity concert
in Split’s Spladium Arena with the
songs Cinim pravu stvar (I’m doing
the right thing) and Zedjam (I thirst).

MALOLETNICKA DELIKVENCIJA
Svest društva o nasilni~kom
ponašanju u preduniverzitetskim
obrazovnim ustanovama!
deteta. Škola je institucija koja
osna`uje, obrazuje i razvija našu
Me|utim, to nije mišljenje
predmet prezira, potcenjivanja,
ismejavanja i ~ak predmet
strašnog psiho-fizi~kog
nasilja.
Stvaranje bezbednog
okru`enja za u~enike,
tako da se oni ne plaše
nasilnog i asocijalnog
ponašanja, je relativno
veliki izazov za društvo i,
iznad svega, osnovni uslov
za poboljšanje bezbednosti
i kvaliteta obrazovanja na
Kosovu.
U poslednje vreme smo
svedoci pojave razli~itih oblika
nasilnog ponašanja u našem društvu.
Mi }emo pokušati da pojednostavimo i
objasnimo detaljnije, tako da svi bolje
razumemo šta “delikvencija” zna~i:
Delikvencija podrazumeva psihi~ke
fenomene koji se manifestuju kršenjem
moralnih i pravnih normi. Delikvencija
je vrsta ponašanja suprotna odre|enim
društvenim normama. Pored toga, delikvent
se zove osoba koja svojim radnjama krši
ne samo norme `ivotne sredine, ve} i
prava i slobode drugog, i u direktnom je
12 for you
sukobu sa drugima. Delikvencija
uklju~uje decu od pubertetske
faze do adolescencije, odnosno
decu od 13 do 18 godina starosti,
koji po~ine krivi~na dela. U
našem društvu su takvi pojedinci
obi~no oni koji be`e iz škole,
domova, kradu, la`u, i na kraju
zloupotrebljavaju alkohol, nasilno
se ponašaju prema vršnjacima, i
zloupotrebljavaju narkotike.
Prema dosadašnjem iskustvu,
kao i na osnovu razli~itih
analiti~kih i nau~nih teorija, mo`e
se do}i do zaklju~ka da su uzroci i
naj~eš}i oblici koji podsti~u mlade
da padnu u delikvenciju slede}i:
1. Tranzicija - faza promene pubertet (ose}aj da “sam ja sada
nezavisan”);
2. Porodica (sistematsko
nasilni~ko ponašanje roditelja,
stroga disciplina, nizak nivo
nadzora maloletnika, konstantno
roditeljsko odbijanje inicijativa i
kreativnosti maloletnika, itd.);
3. Socijalno-ekonomski uslovi
(siromaštvo, bogatstvo);
4. Nedostatak kreativnosti i sportske
rekreacije maloletnika;
5. Izolacija ili odbacivanje od grupe
(izbacivanje iz socijalnog kruga, prezir,
ismejavanje, itd).
Relativno veliki broj slu~ajeva nasilja nad
u~enicima ostaje sakriven ili neprijavljen,
iako je nasilje prisutno. U~enici se plaše
ili nerado podnose izveštaj iz dva
razloga: (1) zbog straha ili zbog
odnosa sa nasilnikom (2) ne
smatraju nasilje ne~im što
nije u redu ili ne~im
neobi~nim, ve}
ga vide kao
razumnu
kaznu za svoje
postupke ili
nedelovanja.
Studenti koji
su `rtve nasilja
u školi mogu
se osećati
“krivim” i mogu
stvoriti utisak
i uverenje da
zaslu`uju nasilje koje
se vrši protiv njih. U prošlosti i sadašnjosti,
razli~ite kulture i tradicije koriste fizi~ko
ka`njavanje kao sredstvo da nametnu
disciplinu i “obrazovanje” u~enicima ili
njihovo pot~injavanje pravilima odre|ene
grupe u~enika ili pojedinaca u školskim
prostorijama.
Neki od mogu}ih simptoma preko
kojih, mi kao u~enici imamo priliku
da identifikujemo da naš muški ili
`enski prijatelj do`ivljava nasilno
ponašanje su:
• Ne `ele da idu u školu;
• Slabost;
• Loše raspolo`enje koje se ogleda kod
ku}e i u školi;
• Izolovan od društvenog kruga i
razgovora sa vršnjacima;
• Pretvaranje da ima grip (ovo obi~no
postaje navika);
• Verbalno agresivno ponašanje sa
muško/`enskim prijateljima ili ~ak sa
roditeljima kod ku}e;
• Nedostatak higijene (neo~esljana i
neošišana kosa, neise~eni i nehigijenski
nokti, prljava ode}a);
• Loši akademski rezultati u školi.
ŠTA DA RADIMO AKO SMO
PREDMET NASILNOG
PONAŠANJA?
• Nemojte reagovati na isti na~in kao
nasilnik, VE] napusti mesto što pre;
• Pobegni i zapamti da nije tvoja
krivica;
• Ne boj se, me|utim, reci roditeljima,
svom u~itelju, bilo kojoj odrasloj osobi u
koje imaš poverenje ili ~ak policijskom
slu`beniku, o tome šta se desilo;
• Pokušaj da ostaneš u društvu nekoga
poput tebe, ko nije mnogo impresioniran
ne-socijalnim ponašanjem;
ŠTA DA RADIMO MI
KAO U^ENICI AKO SMO
SVEDOCI NASILJA PROTIV
DRUGOG U^ENIKA?
Prvo, morate razumeti da nasilno
ponašanje, ruganje, poni`avanje i
vaše u~ionice;
• Nemojte se priklju~iti grupi koja ispoljava
nasilno ponašanje;
• Prijavite odmah ono što ste videli;
prijavljivati u vrlo ranim fazama!
RECI NE NASILJU!
JUVENILE DELINQUENCY
Awareness of the society on violent
behaviour in the pre-university educational
institutions!
S
chool is a very fond word and a dream
of every child. School is an institution
that empowers, educates and develops
our children, can often be remembered by
children as a place where they have basically
spent a “life” full of joy, good experiences and
fun with their peers. However, this is not the
opinion of other students, where the dream
for school is not what they have dreamed
of! It happens really often when many
students remember the school as the place
in which they have been subject to contempt,
underestimation, mockery and even subject to
terrible psycho-physical violence.
Creating a safe environment for students,
so that they do not fear violent and asocial
behaviour is a relatively big challenge for the
society and, above all, a basic condition for
improving safety and quality of education in
Kosovo.
Lately, we have witnessed the emergence
of different forms of violent behaviour in our
society. We will try to simplify and explain in
more detail so that we all better understand
what “delinquency” means:
Delinquency implies psychic phenomena that
are manifested with the violation of moral and
legal norms. Delinquency is a kind of behavior
contrary to certain social norms. In addition,
delinquent is called an individual who with his
actions violates not only environmental norms
but the rights and freedoms of the other and
is in direct conflict with others. Delinquency
involves children from puberty stage to the
adolescence, namely children from 13 to 18
years old, who commit illegal-offensives. In
our society, such individuals are usually those
people who run away from schools, homes,
steal, lie, and eventually abuse alcohol,
exercise violent behavior toward their peers,
and abuse drugs.
According to the up-to-now experience,
as well as based on the various analytical
and scientific theories, one can come to the
conclusion that the causes and the most
common forms that encourage young people
to fall into delinquency mainly are:
1. Transition – phase change – puberty
(the feeling that “I am an independent now”);
2. Family (systematic violent behaviour
of parents, strict discipline, low level of
supervision of minors, constant rejection of
initiatives and creativity of a minor by the
parents, etc.);
3. Socio-economic conditions (poverty,
wealth);
4. Lack of creativity and sports recreation
by minors;
5. Isolation or rejection from the group
(dismissal from the social circle, contempt,
mockery, etc.).
A relatively large number of cases of
violence against students remains hidden or
is not reported, although violence is present.
Students are afraid or reluctant to file or
report for two reasons: (1) because of fear or
because of the relationship with the abuser (2)
they do not consider violence as something
wrong or unusual, but as a reasonable
punishment for their actions or non-actions.
Students who are victims of violence in
school may feel “guilty” and could create
the perception and belief that they deserve
the violence exercised against them. In
the past and present, various cultures and
traditions use corporal punishment as a
means to impose discipline and “education”
of students or their subjection under rules of
a particular group of students or individuals
on school premises.
Some of the possible symptoms
through which, we as students have the
opportunity to identify that our male or
female friend is experiencing violent
behaviour are:
• Not wanting to go to school;
• Weakness;
• The bad mood reflected at home and at
school;
• Isolated from the social circle and
conversation with peers;
• Pretending to have a flu (this usually
becomes a habit);
• Verbal aggressive behaviour with male/
female friends or even parents at home;
• Lack of hygiene (uncombed and uncut
hair, uncut and unhygienic nails, dirty
clothes);
• Lack of academic results in
school;
• Do not be afraid, however, tell your parents,
your teacher, any adult that you trust or even
the police officer about what happened to you;
• Try to stay in the company of someone like
you, who is not very much impressed by the
non-social behaviour;
WHAT DO WE DO AS
STUDENTS IF WE ARE
WITNESSING VIOLENCE
AGAINST ANOTHER
STUDENT?
First, you have to understand that
violent behavior, mocking, humiliation and
physical violence are not good for anyone,
so if you see someone experiencing
something like that:
• Support – even if the student is not from
your classroom;
• Do not join the group that exerts violent
behaviour;
• Tell immediately what you have seen;
• Try to bring close the person against whom
the violent behaviour is exerted.
Let us together prevent violent
behaviours in schools by reporting them in
very early stages!
SAY NO TO VIOLENCE!
WHAT DO WE DO IF
WE ARE SUBJECT
TO VIOLENT
BEHAVIOUR?
• Do not react to the same
behaviour with the abuser, BUT leave
the place as soon as possible;
• Run away and remember that it is not
your fault;

He debuted as a starter against Armenia on

misinterpreted by several non-Serbian sports
news outlets, which incorrectly cited Djuric stating that “It is true, Chelsea will send Markovic
on a loan for two years” (sic). Approximately
eight hours after the article was published by
Sportski zurnal, Benfica’s official website released a statement saying that Lazar Markovic
had penned a five-year contract with the club,
not mentioning any loan deal with Chelsea.
The earlier statements regarding a potential
loan deal with Chelsea caused great confusion
among journalists and followers of the transfer
saga alike.
On 25 August 2013, Markovic made his
debut for Benfica in 2–1 win against Gil Vicente, scoring a decisive goal at the 92nd minute
that drew the game. In the third matchday,
against Sporting at Alvalade, Markovic scored
the equalizing goal after a dribble past three
players, as the match ended in a 1–1 draw. On
1 May 2014, in injury time of Benfica’s Europa
League semi-final second leg against Juventus, Markovic was sent off for a fight with his
opponent Mirko Vucinic. Neither were on the
field of play at the time, Markovic having been
substituted and Vucinic still on the substitutes
bench. He therefore missed the final through
Markovic’s older brother, Filip, is also a
footballer. An attacking midfielder, he too was
groomed in Partizan’s youth setup.

SILVER SABRE 2014
Still significant in numbers and great
in professionalism and technology
The third improvised barricade was the time when
KFOR forces started to engage. The first to face
the situation were the Italian “Carabinieri” units. While they were
demonstrating their capabilities and taking control the third
barricade, the sky was filled by the noise of the helicopter’s
propellers that were approaching with American reinforcements.
Relieving Soldiers in place cannot be hindered by heavy objects
or even ‘Molotov’ cocktails that were thrown in a controlled
manner by specialists in their use. However, their fires were
quickly extinguished by the KFOR units. At this time on the
ground, various motorized vehicles were arriving bringing in
Hungarian, Portuguese and Slovenian units.
Always ready to provide reinforcements
“Silver Sabre” is the name of the exercise that was conducted in
mid November 2014, during which the Kosovo Police, EULEX and
KFOR demonstrated their capabilities in facing riots of any kind
or size. When speaking of the KFORs capabilities the first thing
that comes in one’s mind is how it can ensure a safe and secure
environment for the people of Kosovo. The response to this
question is very simple: PROFESSIONALISM!
It was time to utilize the heavy motorized
vehicles
After pushing the protesters away from the fourth barricade, it
was time to show that there is no barricade will hinder KFOR from
ensuring freedom of movement. This is when the heavy motorized
vehicles entered into action. First, the entire barricade was
inspected by the EOD experts for any hidden explosives. In just
a few seconds, the barricade was removed from the road with all
the heavy objects that had been put in by the protesters.
First things first
Silver Sabre had a very
simple concept: on one side
were the protesters and on
the other riot control forces.
Both parties had prepared to
create a realistic atmosphere.
First, the realism of the
exercise was very accurate.
Another important element
of the exercise was the
integration of the Kosovo
Police (KP) and then
EULEX as first and second
responders; in previous
exercise this was not the
case. Once the riot escalated
to be outside of the control of the KP and EULEX, then KFOR
elements would perform riot control as a third responders.
KP utilized the many tools they had at their disposal: tear gas,
water cannons, motorized vehicles to run through barricades,
portable fire extinguishers etc. After the KP, it was EULEXs
turn to intervene and demonstrate their skills. As expected the
“protesters” were highly determined to face the law enforcement
forces. However, again team work among law enforcement forces
led to the submission of the second standpoint of protesters.
There are no obstacles that cannot be overcome
Good things come in pair
After several hours of clashes between the protesters and the
law enforcement forces, the horizon was filled with helicopters
that continuously kept flying in fresh KFOR forces. They landed
them only a few meters behind the last standpoint. In these
circumstances, it was clear that there is no place in Kosovo where
KFOR is able of reach in a very short time to provide
the freedom of movement and restore a safe and
secure environment to all people in Kosovo.
All is well that ends well
Ready to act anytime, anywhere!
The entire “protest” ended peacefully and both
parties where satisfied because the protesters
had given their colleagues a realistic training
exercise. The law enforcement units had
moved forward with calmness, professionalism
and precision while respecting their own
as well as the lives and security of the
demonstrators in front of them.

25 Bubak
Bubak je u ~eškim pri~ama
i folklor ono što je bauk za
zapadno evropski i ameri~ki
folklor. Obi~no se opisuje
kao jezivo stvorenje koje
li~i na strašilo koje pla~e
kao nevina, nezašti}ena
beba kako bi svoje `rtve
uvukla u smrt. Tako|e,
neke od najpopularnijih
bajki vezanih za Bubak
se uvek dešavaju u no}i
punog meseca kada Bubak
24 Gul
Gul je
jedan od
najpoznatijih
stvorenja u
Arapskom
folkloru i
mi smo se
upoznali sa
njim u zbirci
bajki Hiljadu
i jedna no}.
25 Bubak
The Bubak is pretty much to Czech tales and folklore what the bogeyman is to
Western European and American folklore. It was usually described as a creepy
creature resembling a scarecrow, and could cry just like an innocent, unprotected baby to lure its victims to their deaths. Also, some of the most popular tales
regarding the Bubak always take place on the night of the full moon when the
Bubak supposedly weaves cloth from the souls of those he has killed and, like
an evil version of Santa Claus, drives a cart pulled by black cats.
24 Ghoul
The ghoul is one of the most well-known creatures in Arabian folklore and we were introduced
to it in the collection of tales, One Thousand and
One Nights. The ghoul is described as an undead
monster that can also take the form of an immaterial
spirit and usually goes into graveyards to eat the
flesh of the recently dead.
23 Jorogumo
U slobodnom
prevodu sa
japanskog na
engleski Jorogumo zna~i “pauk
krvopija”, a po
našem skromnom mišljenju
to ime savršeno
opisuje ovo
22 Kerber
U gr~koj mitologiji, Kerber
je ~uvar Hada i
obi~no se opisuje
kao monstrum
bizarnog izgleda
koji izgleda
kao pas sa tri
glave i repom
d`inovskog Tifona i E~idna.
23 Jorogumo
In a free translation from Japanese to English Jorogumo
means the “whore spider,” and in our humble opinion that
name describes this monster perfectly. According to Japanese folklore, a Jorogumo was a blood-thirsty monster, but
in most tales it is described as a huge spider that takes
the form of a very attractive woman who seduces her male
victims, traps them in her web, and then devours them

22 Cerberus
In Greek mythology, Cerberus is the guardian of Hades and is
usually described as a bizarre-looking monster that looks like a dog
with three heads and a tail whose end is a dragon’s head. According to the ancient tragedian Aeschylus, Cerberus was born from the
union of two monsters, the giant Typhon and Echidna. Cerberus is
not considered an evil creature that hurts people intentionally, but a
creature that ensures the arrival of the dead to the underworld and
prevents the living from entering Hades.

MYTHIC CREATURES THAT NEVER EXISTED BUT PEOPLE
BELIEVED IN ANYWAY
Throughout history there have been countless stories about mythical creatures, legendary monsters, and
supernatural beings. Despite their unclear origin, these mythical creatures have a place in folklore and in many cases
are part of pop culture. Amazingly, there are people across the globe who still strongly believe these creatures exist
in spite of the lack of proof that they do. So, our list today is about 25 legendary and epic mythic creatures that never
existed yet many people believe otherwise.
21 Kraken
Legenda o Krakenu poti~e iz
nordijskih mora i njeno prisustvo
je prvobitno bilo ograni~eno
do obala Norveške i Islanda.
21 Kraken
The legend of the Kraken came from the Nordic seas and its presence was
initially limited to the coasts of Norway and Iceland. The Norwegian fishermen originally described the sea monster as a gigantic animal that was as
big as an island and presented danger to passing ships not from direct attack but from the giant waves and tsunamis that its movements could cause.
Quickly, however, people began spreading stories about the monster’s vicious attacks and aggressive behavior, which destroyed every ship that had
the misfortune of passing through its waters.
19 Vendigo
Oni od vas koji
su upoznati sa
psihologijom su
verovatno ~uli izraz
“Vendigo psihoza”
koja opisuje psihozu
`elje da se jede
ljudsko meso.
Medicinski termin
kao nešto izme|u ~oveka i ~udovišta, nešto sli~no zombiju.
19 The Wendigo
Those of you who are familiar with psychology have probably heard the term “Wendigo Psychosis,” which describes
a psychosis to eat human flesh. The medical term takes its
name from the mythical creature called the Wendigo, which,
according to the Native American tribe the Algonquian, was
an evil creature that looked like a cross between a human
and a monster, something similar to a zombie. According
to legend, only people who ate human flesh were at risk to
become Wendigo.
20 Minotaur
Minotaur je
jedno od prvih
epskih stvorenja
koje sre
}emo u istoriji
~ove~anstva, jer
nas vra}a u
dane vrhunca
minojske
civilizacije.
plen Minotaura.
20 Minotaur
The Minotaur is one of the first epic creatures we meet
in the history of humankind since it takes us back to the
days of the Minoan civilizations prime. The Minotaur was
said to have the head of a bull on the body of an extremely large, muscular man and dwelt at the center of the
Cretan labyrinth, which was designed by Daedalus and
his son, Icarus, at King Minos’s request. As one can easily
understand, whoever was unlucky enough to get lost in
the labyrinth became the Minotaur’s prey.
18 Kapa
U drevnom japanskom
folkloru kapa je vodeni
demon vode koji `ivi u
rekama i jezerima i pro`dire
razma`enu decu. Kapa
zna~i “dete reke” i ima telo
kornja~e, sa udovima `abe i
glavu sa kljunom. Tako|e, na
vrhu glave nalazi se šupljina
sa vodom. Iako je navodno
vodeno stvorenje, oni su
aktivni i na kopnu. Prema
legendi, glava Kape uvek mora biti mokra ina~e }e izgubiti svoju snagu.
18 Kappa
In ancient Japanese folklore the kappa is a water demon that lives in
rivers and lakes and devours naughty children. Kappa means “child
of the river” and has the body of a turtle, frog limbs, and a head with
a beak. Also at the top of its head there is a cavity with water. While
it is supposedly an aquatic creature, they are active on dry land.
According to legend, a kappa’s head should always be kept wet otherwise it will lose its strength.
